Q. Well played today. Can you just talk me through your thoughts on the course and how it felt out there.
SAUD AL SHARIF: It was a good day today. I had the pleasure and the privilege to be playing with two awesome players, Brendan Steele and Scott Vincent. So I enjoyed my day today.
Obviously turning 25 today, it's my birthday too, so that's icing on the cake. Yeah, I really enjoyed the round today with the guys, and it was awesome.
It's a bonus to play well. Feels nice obviously to play well on the home course. Looking forward to keeping the form up tomorrow.
Q. You said the course is playing slightly different. You think it's a bit longer?
SAUD AL SHARIF: Yes, it's playing longer for sure, and the rough is up. That's one thing I've seen on the course. The greens are obviously very, very quick, so if the wind picks up, it's going to play almost like -- it's like a gamble whether the ball is rolling or not. It was good. I enjoyed my round today.
Q. How amazing is it? You said there's five Saudi National players in the field. How does it feel being able to play with them this week?
SAUD AL SHARIF: It's awesome. Obviously that's our main objective here with the players is to get more people into golf. It's awesome to see -- I think we started with three, now five. It's awesome to see those teammates get the chance to play in events like this.
Q. This is obviously your home turf. How does it feel? Have you got a lot of family out there? Have you got a home crowd there for you? Is it nice?
SAUD AL SHARIF: It's nice, just the whole vibe, I would say. The vibe out there on the golf course, the peace of knowing that you're at home, it's something that helped me today for sure.
Q. How would it feel making the cut this week at your home tournament? Is that anything you're going to work on to just get it over the line?
SAUD AL SHARIF: Yeah, that would be massive. That's definitely one of the things that I had in mind going into this week. Whether it happens or not, that's up to the nature of the game, but I'm definitely going to give it my best go.
