Q. An opening round bogey-free 65. How would you sum up the round?
JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: Yeah, it was a good round. Pretty happy the way I played. Especially, I mean, I missed a few greens on the second shots and I was able to make great up-and-downs. The up-and-down I made on 17 out of the left bunker was great. I'm pretty happy seeing that progress, and yeah, pretty happy.
Q. Last week at the Australian Open, you were tied fifth and you've flown all the way here to Saudi Arabia, continuing that good form. What would you say about the overall state of your game right now and is there anything you've been working on in particular?
JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: Yeah, I'm working on it every day. I feel like, yeah, my game is in good shape. That's, I mean, it's nice to finish the year having a lot of good golf. Playing good tournaments, too. It's been fun. I haven't had a great Sunday yet on my last three tournaments, and so yeah, I think there's always stuff to improve. I'm off to a great start here in Saudi, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Q. It's your first time playing at the Riyadh Golf Club. Can we get your thoughts on the golf course and how you feel that it's playing?
JOAQUÍN NIEMANN: Yeah, it's a good golf course. It's got some really long holes. Got some tight fairways. You know, the rough is a little bit tricky. The few times that I missed the fairway, I was on kind of like -- hard to read on the grass. It was pretty hard to read because everything is different. You've got some bermuda and you've got some bentgrass.
So you've got to be really good judging the lies. Yeah, I think, yeah, everything is playing pretty good. You see if the wind gets up, it can get pretty tricky.
