Q. Fantastic round, Tyrrell, today. What clicked from yesterday?
TYRRELL HATTON: It's kind of similar tee-to-green as yesterday. Obviously a few putts bounced their way in, which was nice. Then we ended up with a decent score.
Q. It was a little bit -- we were talking about the wind is a little bit stiller today. How much did that help you with your scoring?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, it was calmer this morning, but it wasn't particularly -- it wasn't too windy yesterday. It didn't make the course play any easier. That being said, still happy with a decent score.
Q. You're obviously a little bit tired, but you've had an amazing last couple of months. What is it about your game that has got you playing so well?
TYRRELL HATTON: Well, I think the back end of this year I had a clear goal of what I needed to try and achieve or how I needed to play. Yeah, with that motivation to go out there and try to earn the points I needed to certainly helped.
This week's a little bit different. It's a bit of a free week for me. So, yeah, I don't really have the pressure that some of the other guys have. Yeah, just go out there and try to hit good shots and not really worry about too much.
Q. Having said that, your world ranking is in a good place having played minimal events. It's still got good world ranking points.
TYRRELL HATTON: I haven't looked, to be honest. I'm just kind of playing and see how we end up. Like I said, it feels like a free week, so we'll see how we go.
Q. Quick question just about the 18th. How did you play it? It was your 9th today. Did you play it safe?
TYRRELL HATTON: I wasn't playing it safe, but it's just you have to go a little bit further left. Yeah, hit it onto the fairway and managed to get a pretty poor lie on the fairway and hit it to 30 feet from 90 yards and two-putt and walk to the next.
Q. How much of an advantage was it -- you were seeing the course more or less for the first time yesterday. I say that. You played a practice round.
TYRRELL HATTON: I saw nine holes in daylight the day before.
Q. And then you got a chance to play on 18 and you were heading for a 4-under and then you doubled the last. Then today you go and shoot 64. It's an advantage knowing the course, right? You played it almost blind.
TYRRELL HATTON: The course is in front of you. There's no surprises. Your lines are pretty obvious when you stand on each tee. It's kind of the luck of the draw how your putts roll, to be honest, and that's going to determine what score you get.
It's not an overly long course, so everyone's going to have lots of birdie opportunities. It's kind of a bit of luck if it goes in or not.
