Q. Peter, you took over the top spot on International Series rankings after that stunning victory in Qatar last week and you're making it quite difficult for everyone else to try and catch you this week. Talk us through the first two days.
PETER UIHLEIN: First two days were nice. Yeah, putted well, which was good. Proud of the way I kind of bounced back. Made two bogeys, both on par 5s, and nearly birdied the next hole which was nice. Proud of the way I handled those situations, and yeah, I feel good.
Obviously there's so many points available and there's two more days. Anything can happen. Just going to kind of keep trying to do what I'm doing, what I've been doing and hopefully it keeps going.
Q. You putting "well" might be understatement of the year, but talk me through that recovery shot on the 5th hole. That was something special.
PETER UIHLEIN: Yeah, nice break on the upslope a little bit. Had a good lie. Had like 200-something to the flag, and I was just trying to hit 5-iron a little left of it. Just pushed it because it was on the upslope and kind of got away with it. That was one of the putts I really wanted to make most today, and obviously didn't make it, but it would have been really cool.
Q. Going back to your putting, none of us on the commentary team have any experience with putting the way that you do. What's it like to be in a state of flow like that for an entire season?
PETER UIHLEIN: Ask Cam Smith. He's done it for a long time.
It's felt good. I switched putters for one day just to try something different. Give me a new look because I didn't like how I putted in Thailand on the weekend. Went back to my putter I used for a long time. Felt good. Felt nice in Qatar, and felt solid this week.
Yeah, just feeling like I'm just trusting my eyes and trusting what I'm seeing and trying to put good rolls on it.
Q. What would it mean to you to cap off what's been a brilliant year on the Asian Tour and International Series with a victory in this Flagship Event?
PETER UIHLEIN: It would be awesome. It's a goal to try to win the International Series Order of Merit. It would be nice to accomplish that goal. I feel like I played pretty solid most of the events out here. I had a couple hiccups but for the most part been pretty solid. It would be nice to finish it off, for sure.
