Quick Quotes

Q. 8-under, was it, in the end? Tell us how you felt when you teed it off today and if it went to plan or you knew it was coming?

BRANDEN GRACE: Yeah, I played I maybe hit three more shots closer than I must have hit the past couple of days. I've been flushing it all week. As we all know, the greens aren't in the best shape this week. Nothing wrong with the greens speed-wise, it's just very bumpy. Just didn't make anything the first two days.

Today I hit, I think 5 out of the 8 birdies, I hit it inside 4 feet, so that helped. I just played very, very solid golf. Thank you.

Q. I've been probably hassling you whenever I've seen you the last couple of weeks on the International Series, but your form lately has been impressive.

BRANDEN GRACE: Yeah, I've played really nicely. Working on the right stuff. The hardest part about this game is staying patient. I feel like the game is coming on, the putting's coming on, the driving's coming on, everything has improved.

I think the scores show it as well. I think I've played six events now with not a score over par in any of those rounds. Everything is there. The solidness is there. The confidence is growing. That's what we need to get up there in these events.

Q. You've theoretically got the chance tomorrow to win everything outright, 1,000 points, or you're going into the second round of the Promotions event. What are your thoughts on preparing for tomorrow and both events?

BRANDEN GRACE: Listen, I'm here to play golf. I'm here to win a golf tournament. I feel good. The confidence is growing. Everything is heading in the right direction. Hopefully play the same as I played today, and that will take care of business. Otherwise, I'm back here next week trying to do exactly the same.

I'm here because I didn't have a good year, so that's all on me. Now it's about putting your head down and playing golf.

Q. I wonder what you found. I know you said you've been a bit more consistent.

BRANDEN GRACE: I think I've practiced really good. My commitment on practicing, that sort of stuff, has been here the whole year. I think the last three months of just maybe practice a little bit with more purpose, things more routine-wise, that sort of stuff, made some changes in the bag as well. All those things have showed. It's just doing everything a little bit better.

Q. Just one question. When it comes to the team element now, do you get -- is it more support from the kind of team structure, or do you still just work on your own improvements kind of thing? How does it work?

BRANDEN GRACE: First, obviously it's great to be part of a team. We grew up being part of a team, whether it was rugby, golf, cricket, whatever sport it is. Being from South Africa, that's how you grow up. So now it's nice to be part of a team. I definitely want to be back in that team.

We've got such a great team. We've played well. It showed over the past three years. That's where we want to be.

I know the guys out there are supporting me. They've got my back 100 percent. Now it's about me getting my team right with my caddie, my family, the coaches, and just doing what I can do to get back there.
