Q. Eight birdies, one eagle, a new course record, 61. How do you sum up today's round?
CALEB SURRATT: It was pretty stellar. I played really nicely. I might have misspoke stellar there. Played great, made a bunch of putts. I haven't been making very many putts the last two days, but I've been hitting it really solid.
Kind of just talking to my caddie, like if I keep hitting it the way it was, it's bound for the momentum to switch at some point. Sure enough it did on the back nine today, and I was very proud of that. Definitely showed myself some good resilience over the last two days.
Q. This is your third time playing on the Asian Tour this year. Tied third in Morocco, tied second in England. I see a nice little trend going here. What would it mean for you to get your first professional win this week?
CALEB SURRATT: It would mean everything. It's been a really up-and-down year, but a lot of positives. I'm 20 years old now, so I feel like I could be out here competing. But at the same time, I don't have half the experience a lot of these guys do.
Sometimes I've had to learn those hard lessons, and it seems like a lot of those learning experiences are starting to come together this week. Hopefully it works out.
Q. We're expecting similar conditions tomorrow. There's not going to be much wind. Around this course for you, what do you feel especially as part of your game needs to be on point to get it done tomorrow?
CALEB SURRATT: I think mainly my head to be honest. I know I'm going to go out there and hit it all right. It's kind of all -- it's got to play out on the greens. You're kind of out of control once you hit the putt.
I know that, if I can stay within myself and within my caddie, we can keep it like it's just us two at home playing with my friends, I'm going to be fine. If I get out there and start looking at leaderboards and thinking about where I'm at, I'm going to get ahead of myself.
That's one of those things I've learned, and I'm going to try to do tomorrow.
