Q. Third round 65 out of Joaquin Niemann. After a quick start, birdie, birdie off the first two, how hard was it to keep your patience the next nine holes?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: After that start, I thought it was going to be one of those days. Just like Caleb, he played great. I thought it was going to be one of those rounds, and I start hitting -- I keep hitting good shots. The putts were just not going in. It was a little bit frustrating.
I made that bogey on 9, which really kind of frustrated me a little bit more knowing that I was kind of staying behind the leader. Yeah, after that, I knew that there's a good stretch where you can go low. I did that the first two days too. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, you've got a good stretch where you can go low, so, yeah, took advantage of that.
Q. When you look at the scoreboard and saw that Surratt 10-under par 61 and you've had that dry spell, does it put more pressure on the finish?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, obviously you don't want it to go too far away. I was pretty far away, but at the end of the day, this is a game where you got to practice your patience.
Yeah, it paid off. It paid off. I made a great chip on 15, which it was great. I haven't seen one of those go in for quite a while. It's nice to see those chips go in.
Q. We were joking on the air about your air miles the last couple of years, chasing world ranking points to get in majors. So far you're in the Open Championship. Does it wear on you even at your young age and your fitness?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: No, I've got great status on those airlines now, so they like me. I'm getting prepared. I feel like, if you get prepared for -- if you know what you're going to do, where you're going to travel from, if you prepare for that and you want to give your hundred percent for every week you're going to travel, you've got to really mentally prepare and physically prepare for that.
Yeah, I'm prepared. It is a little bit tiring, but I feel like after giving all my hundred percent on those weeks where it's a little bit harder, it makes me feel -- it makes me think about vacations and knowing I'll enjoy them a lot more giving my hundred percent on those weeks.
Q. Speaking of preparation, you've been in this position on some really big stages in your young career. What would be the preparation for tomorrow's round in search of the PIF Saudi International?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Same as every day. Try to go out there and have fun.
