Quick Quotes

Q. One shot behind the lead.

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: I'm quite pleased with the way I'm playing the past couple months. Starting really good, just can't get everything going through the weekend. But I just keep knocking on the door, and hopefully everything is coming together.

Q. Absolutely. You're definitely trending in the right direction. How is the course setup, the greens, et cetera?

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: I've been playing here not often, but this is my third time playing in this place, and I would say the green conditions is one of the best compared with the last two I played before.

Conditions was always good, golf course fantastic, all the maintenance, everyone working so well to maintain the quality of the golf course.

Q. With the greens rolling so pure, what score do you think it's going to take to win this event?

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: It's going to be low. I feel like there's a lot of birdie opportunities out there, a lot of chance for the bomber. It depends on the competition. If the greens are getting firmer, it might hurt you if you hit a wrong spot.

But I'm saying there's a lot of chances for birdie on this course.

Q. Absolutely solid round today. Tell us what has been working in your game that led us to a bogey-free round?

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: I think my putter is working quite well today. My driving and my iron play is really average. I don't think it's my long game was outstanding today. I just give myself a lot of chances to hit greens in regulation and let the putter working, and it seems like it's working the first round.

Q. You had very low rounds in Hong Kong and Singapore, I remember, 165, 162. How have you tested your form coming into this week?

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: Yeah, I'm saying I've been going in the right direction. Keep knocking on the door every week, been up there, but couldn't get everything together on the weekend. I think just the timing, just waiting until the time was right. Hopefully everything is coming together this week.

Q. You were third here at the golf course at Saudi Open last year. How is the feeling of coming back? Does this feel familiar, and does it like give you more confidence coming in?

KIRADECH APHIBARNRAT: Yeah, the golf course, I know somehow the greens really fit my eye. I love the speed of the greens, pure.

Yeah, playing good last year and hopefully can make it again.
