Q. 8-under today. Walk us through the round. What was working?
THOMAS PIETERS: I putted unbelievable today. I think I had 24 putts. Usually I don't make a lot of putts from 10 to 15 feet, and today I made all of them.
I was putting on Sunday night on my putting green at home, and I was just kind of messing about with different models and stuff. I always like to tinker with putters. This one is an old one that I got eight, nine years ago, never used it, but it did a good job today.
Q. You were 9 in Hong Kong and also 9 in Singapore. That's a consistent performance. How do you assess your form?
THOMAS PIETERS: I've been playing very consistently all year. Yeah, two top 10s the last two tournaments, where I felt I played pretty good, just didn't putt very well. Hence why I was tinkering with the putter.
A new set of irons this week, for example, so we're trying that out. It's working out pretty well, but my caddie was pretty stressed about that. Overall very happy of course.
Q. How's the course today? How's the condition?
THOMAS PIETERS: The greens were like a 1 out of 10 when we played last year. I think the 1 was basically because they had grass. Now they're like an 8 out of 10. I think everybody's very happy.
But it plays very different because it's firm, obviously lots of slopes on the green. So you need to think a lot more, which is great.
