Q. What a great end to your round today, Scott. Can you talk a little bit about the day and how you finished and how important that is.
SCOTT VINCENT: Yeah, it was a very early start. I think up at 4:00 this morning. Yeah, to play the way I did was just great. Obviously a little bit of pressure coming into today especially and this week, but, yeah, very thankful how it went the first two days and hoping I can just free up and just play some normal golf now.
Q. Is there any experience that you draw on for a week as important as this that makes you feel a little bit calmer?
SCOTT VINCENT: For sure you're trying all the little tricks that you have. It's just funny the way the mind works sometimes and tries to make this more important than it needs to be from a performing standpoint.
Yeah, trying all the little tricks. I don't know if I'm succeeding. But the first two days have been great and looking forward to the weekend.
Q. Coming up to the 18th and to birdie it, that must give you momentum going into tomorrow.
SCOTT VINCENT: Yes, I almost birdied it.
Q. Sorry.
SCOTT VINCENT: Totally good. It was still a good finish. Yeah, it was great. Last three holes were great. Played them 1-under. Finishing well and giving myself good chances, so hopefully keep that going.
Q. The LIV have expanded the system this year and there is now two guaranteed spots. What do you think of the International Series as a part of...
SCOTT VINCENT: Yeah, no, I think it's great. Obviously if you're on this side trying to get that way it's great that they open it up a bit more.
I think the International Series is only getting better is the years go on. The tournaments are run well and just the whole experience is really good, and obviously more opportunities for us to pursue the Asian Tour to get on LIV.
Yeah, I think it's a great opportunity for us.
Q. You've got a lot of experience on the Asian Tour. What do you think of the place it is in right now?
SCOTT VINCENT: Yeah, no, like I said, I just think the Asian Tour is getting a little stronger each and every year. It's drawing better players. As you can see with the cuts, the cuts are moving up, so you got to play better. There is -- you know, it felt like in the past you could play okay and get away with it. Now it feels like you have to play well to compete out here.
But, yeah, the Asian Tour is doing great job this whole -- everything that's been happening is just boosting it and just exciting for the future.
Q. A fun one. Do you think the strength of the Asian Tour is now helping you as a player?
SCOTT VINCENT: I think it's forcing you to figure out little things that are going to help, yes. Yeah, that's just a nature of being a competitor. You're always trying to improve and find little ways to get better. And yes, when the competition is better it's forcing you to play better.
Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Yeah, the whole standard has improved.
Q. I've got a couple more. How do you stop yourself scoreboard watching and how much have you worked out about where you finish, where someone else is?
SCOTT VINCENT: Yeah, like working it out, I just gave up on that a long time ago. You know, for me it's been practice. It's not just you come to this event then you don't watch the scoreboard. It's throughout the year practicing that so that when you're in these situation it's just more natural. Oh, there is a scoreboard. I'm not going look and I am just going to focus in on what I'm doing.
Q. It will do your head in trying to keep an eye on what everyone is doing.
SCOTT VINCENT: Yeah. I'll leave that for everyone else to figure out.
Q. At the start of the week did you just think make the cut, first goal?
SCOTT VINCENT: Well, you want to come in here and play well. You don't want to hope that someone else doesn't play well. You want to do your part.
So for me it was what's the best prep I can have coming in; what are the things I need to be doing; really just trying to do that well.
And then, yeah, of course I just couldn't wait to get started because leading up to this is so much busyness happening in the mind. Yeah, just trying to take care of your own things and the little bit that you can control.
Q. Everyone has been very complimentary about the course. Did you play at the start od the year? Have you found the course to be in good condition?
SCOTT VINCENT: The course is in fantastic condition. I played it obviously last year, not this year. But, yeah, coming in weren't really sure and heard some not-great news about it. Getting here it's way better than we expected, so whatever they've done, they've done an awesome job. The fairways and greens are great. Yeah, really good.
Q. Just right for a big major week.
SCOTT VINCENT: Might just be.
