Q. 5-under par today, maybe not the way you wanted to finish, but still a good round. What are your thoughts on the day?
JOSE BALLESTER: Right now probably at the end of the day as good as it probably is, another round of 5-under and 16-under through three rounds, it's pretty good golf, and I put myself in position to be in contention tomorrow.
As you said, not the way I wanted to finish. Played really good golf all day, hit an okay driver on 18, just the ball didn't fade as much as I thought. I don't know, probably didn't hit the best bunker shot the first one, it was super sandy. Then I got on the second one, and it was rock, cart path.
Yeah, it was a little frustrating. I left myself a tough shot that I didn't really execute well. Then the other one, I just got an unlucky lie and ended up making bogey from 40 yards.
Yeah, it's definitely not the way you want to finish your day, but try to for tomorrow just look back to the good stuff that happened that was plenty of birdies the last three days, and hopefully tomorrow will be a better finish.
Q. How were the conditions today? Are the greens firming up, anything? It looked firm on TV.
JOSE BALLESTER: A little bit, yeah. I feel like every day the greens have been getting a little firmer. The ball is rolling good, and I think that kind of plays to my advantage. I have the ability to stop the ball on the greens pretty easily. For me, the firmer they get, the better.
Yeah, I can't wait to see how the conditions are tomorrow.
Q. You've been playing your first season on LIV or half season now anyhow. How has your game developed playing against some of the best players in the world out there for the last six months?
JOSE BALLESTER: It has developed a lot, and it has been great because I've been seeing it. Sometimes it's kind of hard when you're working a lot and putting a lot of effort into your practices to see that development and improvement, and I'm happy to see that.
It's been only six months, as you said, but I truly believe that I'm a way better player than what I was when I joined the league. Hopefully next year I'll be ready to compete against the best players in the world again.
Q. You'll be in the final group tomorrow. Pretty tight at the top. What's your thoughts on that?
JOSE BALLESTER: No, as I said, I'm excited to have that opportunity. I played some good golf that has put me in the position to be in contention for a big tournament here in Saudi. So really excited for tomorrow, and hopefully I play some good golf.
