Raiders 20, Browns 16
Q. What did you see on that last play, Deshaun? Did you have time to even get the ball out?
DESHAUN WATSON: Just got to give the Raiders all the credit. You know, that was it. They got to me before anything happened.
Q. What happened on that snap coming out of the two-minute warning? Just miscommunication on the count, something like that?
DESHAUN WATSON: Yeah, I think it was just miscommunication. Just got to execute better. Be more locked in.
Q. We kind of saw the, change with Dawand on the field. Can you just run through sort of how that went down between you guys?
DESHAUN WATSON: Yeah, just trying to be great. That's it. I just got to get on the same page so we can execute and try to win and be explosive.
So that was just it.
Q. Did you think that was going to be a touchdown?
DESHAUN WATSON: We all knew that. Like I said, we just got to execute and we all got to be on the same page to make those big plays.
Q. This was the fifth time in your career as far as official status that nine or more quarterback hurries against you. Can you elaborate more on the protection or lack thereof or what the Raiders brought without their defensive leader?
DESHAUN WATSON: Yeah, just go back to execution, communication, all being on the same page. You know, just trying to -- just be on the same page. That's pretty much all I can really say about it right now.
Q. Can you talk about the fact that you guys came out here with a great opportunity. Davante out; Max out. Seemed like a chance for you guys to even your record. How disappointing does this feel right now?
DESHAUN WATSON: Every loss is a disappointment. But, you know, we just watch the tape, correct everything tomorrow, and get ready for the Commanders. That's all we can do.
Q. That opening drive you guys were successful on, what did you see as a big difference between that drive and (indiscernible) did against you guys?
DESHAUN WATSON: Just can't shoot ourselves in the foot. Each and every drive is an opportunity to get points up, get us in good field position for the next drive. Yeah, we just didn't capitalize on those, and, yeah, just got to find ways to continue to sustain that fast start that we had.
Q. Talk about the turnaround with Amari Cooper, the interception, and then the touchdown getting called back on a holding call. What did you and Amari talk about after some of those situations?
DESHAUN WATSON: I mean, it was nothing really to speak on. I really didn't see the interception until afterwards. Saw it on the jumbotron. And then the touchdown, I didn't see the flag, so I don't know what the ref saw.
So, yeah, I can't do anything else about that.
Q. Come back to Amari, you know how good he is. After the interception you showed that you'll just come back again.
DESHAUN WATSON: Yeah, I'm going to come back to all my guys. If something happens, I'm going to need them so I can't just shut anybody out.
I believe in all my guys, all my teammates, regardless of one bad play or not. It's hard to be perfect in this league, that's what we're striving for.
It's going to -- the opportunity is going to come back up. It did but get called back.
Q. Do you feel this offense is improving and why or why not?
DESHAUN WATSON: Yeah, we just got to keep striving and keep trying to get better one week at a time.
Q. Touchdown to Cooper that was called back feel like vintage Watson to you?
DESHAUN WATSON: Man, I guess. At the moment I'm just playing football. I'm just trying to win and execute.
Q. I know you're going to want to watch. Quick thoughts from this game, where do you feel you need to improve on or off the field as far as the leader of the team?
DESHAUN WATSON: Just everything. We're not doing enough. It starts with me. If I'm going to be the quarterback of this offense we all got to be all the way locked in.
Right now we're in the doing enough to get the W, so you can put it on me for sure.
Q. What about the fact that this week you guys should be getting David back, Nick might be activated, some tackles might come back. Do you feel like in a hurry you guys can get this turned around?
DESHAUN WATSON: We'll see. Take it one day at a time. My job is taking it one day at a time and whoever is on the field I got to focus on those 11 guys.
So definitely love to have all those guys back. Definitely will help. We'll see.
Q. How much of an emphasis was it to get the ball out of your hands in a hurry? Looked like you threw a bunch of swing passes and things like that.
DESHAUN WATSON: I mean, just depends on the coverage. They did a good job just sinking back. If they're going to sink back, get the ball out and make them tackle. That's the key of the game.
Yeah, and that's what they wanted to do, try to keep everything underneath.
Q. Didn't show up in the stat numbers, but I watched a lot of times after the throw and I saw you get hit really hard after the throw a bunch of times. Does that game feel all that much better to you than getting hit...
DESHAUN WATSON: I came out healthy, so that's all that matters. Football is going to be football. As long as I come out healthy and I'm not in the training room, I'll be fine.
Q. How optimistic do you feel right now at 1-3?
DESHAUN WATSON: Very optimistic. Got to go back and work and improve. Take one week at a time and try to get back on the win board next week and start from there.
