Q. Three birdies and one bogey. How did you cope with the conditions?
LINDSEY WEAVER-WRIGHT: This wind is very abnormal for this golf course, so it was kind of hard to -- a lot of the holes, very different than what I've played it here in the past. It's so windy, and my allergies were not very happy with the wind today. So I was just like sniffling the whole time and itching my eyes.
There were some lulls in the wind on our front nine, my back nine. But, yeah, it was difficult out there, and I think the scores really reflect that.
Q. And are you happy with your score. You said the wind is going to pick up even more this afternoon. So you probably had the best of it this morning.
LINDSEY WEAVER-WRIGHT: Yeah, I hope so. We were out there thinking it was supposed to calm down later in the afternoon. We weren't sure, maybe we got the bad draw. Yeah, it's just kind of how it is. You kind of just have to take what you get and move on best you can and play your best and try to calibrate in the wind as much as possible.
It's very difficult here because it's such like open land. It's just you're really at risk for a lot of gusts. Yeah, just kind of staying positive mindset and not letting it really get to you.
Q. And what would you say the best part of your game was today?
LINDSEY WEAVER-WRIGHT: Definitely putting. I made some good par saves when I really needed them after missing a couple of greens. Obviously, when you're playing in the wind, you're going to miss a lot of greens. Probably not too many, but you're definitely going to miss greens. So if you can get up and down, then you're probably going to sit pretty well at the end of the day, make a few putts.
That's really what I did. Made a couple good putts on the back nine -- well, my back nine, the front nine. And hit the par-5 4 in two, which I've never even been close to reaching it before. I think I had 280 the other day. So it was good, two-putted there. Yeah, pretty stressless round.
