Quick Quotes

Q. 66 and also bogey-free. Tell me about your day.

PIA BABNIK: Yeah, it was a great day. I hit many good shots: I wasn't looking at the flag, though. I'm just really happy with my putting today because I made some long putts, so yeah, really happy with my round.

Q. I saw some of those long putts. Apart from your putts did you feel like your all-around game was good because we all know your long game is good, but I guess it was the short game you were particularly pleased with?

PIA BABNIK: Well, yeah, also sometimes I had to chip on par-5s if I missed the green, so yeah, today everything came together, so I'm really happy.

Q. Obviously you have very happy memories of Aramco Series, and you won out in Saudi Arabia. What is it about this format that seems to bring the best out of you?

PIA BABNIK: Well, I really like it more relaxed. It's more like connecting with people, cheering for each other. I do really enjoy it.

Q. Do you have the Solheim Cup in your mind slightly? Do you think maybe if I keep on playing well, keep on impressing, that I have a chance to make the team?

PIA BABNIK: Yeah, of course, but if not, that's also okay. Next time. I will just try to play the best I can, and then we'll see.

Q. Is that Michelena's brother on the bag?

PIA BABNIK: Yes, yes, he was.

Q. First time?

PIA BABNIK: Yeah, I was actually supposed to have Loka caddie, but then Giulia came to me and she said that he's not doing anything, and he can caddie.

Q. What's his name?

PIA BABNIK: Santiago.

Q. Was it nice to have him there? Obviously it was a good day for the pair of you.

PIA BABNIK: Yeah, he was nice.

Q. It worked?

PIA BABNIK: Yeah, it did.
