Quick Quotes

Q. Yesterday, windy conditions, 69 there, and you followed it up today, early start but well worth it, I guess?

CAROLINE HEDWALL: Yeah, slightly, I was really pleased with my round yesterday and it's tougher playing in the afternoon here.

I knew it would be better conditions or easier conditions coming out this morning, and I did take advantage of it, so that was really nice.

Q. What's working so well for you this week?

CAROLINE HEDWALL: I think I'm just hitting it very solid in general. I hit a lot of the par 5s in two and 2-putted for birdie and made an eagle today. Had a couple of eagle chances actually. I've just been playing very steady and made a couple of putts but nothing special. It's just very solid.

Q. You're not attacking the course more because there's a team element or are you just playing the same tactics?

CAROLINE HEDWALL: I think what helps me with the team part of it is that I play for birdies which I think helps me make a lot of birdies. I made four birdies and one eagle yesterday I think, and today, one eagle and a couple of birdies. I think it definitely helps me to focus more on the pin and attacking the flags because you need that for the team.

Q. We've watched you play for so many years, and seems you're at your best when you play attacking golf. Is that a fair point?

CAROLINE HEDWALL: Absolutely. It's easy when you play week-in and week-out that you get a bit defensively. But I enjoy it more when I'm attacking pins and playing that type of golf and when I play my best. I think the team part of it really helps me that way.

Q. Obviously tomorrow the team element is gone. How will you try and keep that feeling going? Obviously a very shard question to answer but do you have any sort of idea how you're going to do it?

CAROLINE HEDWALL: Just try to have the same mindset, going for birdies. I think that's key. Not holding back. You might take a bogey here and there but doesn't matter if you make five or six birdies.
