Q. Your eagle on No. 5, can you walk me through it?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, I had hit a bad drive there the day before so I just wanted to hit the fairway. I think I had 230 in and I hit a really good 3-wood and it bounced up on the hill.
Yan also hit a really good shot. She was about seven feet and I was about six and I got a really good read off her putt. Yeah, felt really good start to the morning.
Q. Awesome. What kind of momentum did that give you into the rest of the round?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, I missed a couple putts early and so it felt nice to knock one in, and then I made one on the next hole. Honestly that helped my a lot because I struggled a bit after that, but getting off to a good start helped.
Q. Awesome. And then two more days of golf. I know it's kind of a long weekend, long tournament.
ALEXA PANO: Yeah.
Q. But still up near the top of that leaderboard. How do you prepare for the next two days knowing you've played two solid rounds of golf so far?
ALEXA PANO: Yeah, there is definitely some adjustments I need to and want to make before the before the next two days. I feel pretty confident where I'm at. Hoping for lots of birdies the next two days.
