Q. An incredible round. Bogey-free.
AMELIA GARVEY: Thank you.
Q. How did it feel walking off the green?
AMELIA GARVEY: Yeah, good. Really happy with today's round. I probably didn't hit it as well as I hit it yesterday, but kept it in play mainly all day.
Managed to get a few up and downs when I needed to.
Q. Leaderboard is looking real good right now.
AMELIA GARVEY: Yeah.
Q. One stroke back from the lead with two days of golf left.
AMELIA GARVEY: Yeah.
Q. How does it feel to be in that position?
AMELIA GARVEY: It's just nice to get some low rounds under the belt. You know, all year I've kind of just put up one low round a tournament, and so it's nice to have two in there already.
Game is feeling good, and I think I like having four rounds as well. You've got a bit more time. I tee'd off yesterday and the leader was at 8-under, and you feel like you're chasing already.
But, yeah, no, it's really nice to be in with a chance come the weekend.
Q. And then how do you rest and prepare for the next two days?
AMELIA GARVEY: Yeah, just going to hit the range for 15 minutes or so. I wasn't too happy with the way I hit it today, but that's being picky.
So, yeah, just go on the range, recalibrate after the round, and then think I'll be on the beach this afternoon. Staying in Norman Beach, so just rest up.
Q. Obviously a hurricane just came through last week. Kind of devastated a lot of the state. There is a lot of water around here.
AMELIA GARVEY: Yeah.
Q. How did the course play and how does it kind of meet your expectations or how...
AMELIA GARVEY: It's been unreal. Yeah, honestly I thought it was going to be so much worse coming in. And it was. On Monday No. 1 fairway was under water and I was like oh, no.
So they have done really, really good job. It's not even that like soft either. Like the greens are definitely starting to firm up as well. Yeah, they're probably not too happy on how the greens are rolling right now, but still managed to hole a few putts.
Yeah, credit to the greenskeepers. They've done a really good job.
Q. And how do you stay positive? I know you said you nitpicked with how you were hitting the ball. How do you stay positive when you do get picky to keep yourself in your game and know you're doing well?
AMELIA GARVEY: It's just to trust what you've got. You know, you can try and do whatever you can on the range, but at the end of the day you got to go out there and play.
I think this year I've just proved to myself that I can play really good golf with my C game as well.
So, yeah, just trusting and going out there and having fun as well.
