Q. All right, so another solid round of golf.
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah.
Q. How did it feel walking offer the green?
BAILEY TARDY: Great. I missed a couple putts coming in, but it's just the second day. There is still a lot of golf to go. I'm really proud of the way I played today, and, yeah, hopefully keep the momentum going.
Q. The last couple weeks you've been in contention pretty much all the way through.
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah.
Q. How do you take the positivity from those weeks into this week and prepare for the next two days?
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah, obviously there is -- it's easy to focus on the negatives from the last two weeks, being in the final group and not winning, so just kind of taking the positives and what I did good each day and just taking baby steps.
Those weren't my tournaments to win. So, yeah, just keeping that in the back of my mind and, yeah, hoping I come out on top this week.
Q. And then I know there is stuff on the line this week being the last event.
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah.
Q. Able get into the top 10 potentially and then 11 through 35 gets exempt into Q-Series.
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah.
Q. How do you keep positive on the course knowing that information, knowing where you stand, but also trying to keep yourself in the game and waiting for the best possible outcome?
BAILEY TARDY: Well, I guess at the end of the day the top 10 -- I mean, obviously you get your card, but it also depends a lot on how other people are playing. I can't control how other people play.
I can only control me and my mental thoughts. So I don't really focus on that. I think that if I did, it would just send me in a downward spiral.
So just focusing on myself and taking it one shot at a time. I feel like it's so cliche to say, but literally from point A to point B the whole time I'm out here and not getting ahead of myself and not worrying about what other people are doing, I think that's the key.
If I sneak into the top 10 on Sunday, then great. I think I've kind of secured getting into Q-Series, so, yeah, it would be nice. Whatever. But, yeah, I'm just trying to focus on me.
Q. And then what do you do to rest and prepare heading into tomorrow?
BAILEY TARDY: Snuggle with my dog. Yeah, I'm going to go home, eat some dinner, and hang out with my dog.
Q. I know we talked about it a couple weeks ago, having your dog on the road really helped make a difference. Leave work and go home and play with your dog, snuggle with your dog. How has it helped this week with all the kind of emotion and mental game that goes on?
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah, you know, I've never brought him on the road before, so having him here these last four weeks, it's like a dog loves you for you, and it doesn't matter if I shoot 88 or 68 or 58. My dog doesn't know and he's going to love me, just like my parents will love me regardless.
So they just -- I love seeing his wagging tail. He's so happy whenever he sees me. So off the golf course I can take him on a walk or go to the beach with him, so just nice having other activities to do when your friends are in opposite waves and you still have your dog.
