Quick Quotes

Q. What a day for you out there. You are currently tied for the lead. Just talk me through your day and what was going right for you?

MINJI KANG: Today was like the perfect -- yeah, like it was windy out there, but like every my shot and putting was everything was like I satisfied.

Yeah, I made some like birdie putts still, but maybe hopefully tomorrow.

Q. Get a couple more even?

MINJI KANG: Couple more, yeah.

Q. Going into a week like this, obviously the season finale, exciting week, the end of the year.

MINJI KANG: Uh-huh.

Q. What's the mindset going into this week? I know you're wanting to end up in the top 10, which you have a pretty good chance of doing.

MINJI KANG: Yeah, like for last couple weeks I couldn't start -- I couldn't play well my first day, so I was trying to enjoy today, like the first day.

I think that helps a lot.

Q. When you're just having fun?

MINJI KANG: Yeah, just having fun and just enjoy.

Q. Yeah. You kind of have to remind yourself ever, like just have a good time; I'm just here to have a good time?

MINJI KANG: Yeah. Like nervous doesn't make anything good, so just enjoy.

Q. Yeah. And kind of just reflecting back on the season, obviously there is still three more rounds here, but are you proud of what you've done this season?

MINJI KANG: Yes, of course. Like it's my rookie year. I didn't expect like I could be in this position right now, but my coach help me as a caddie, so I think he helps me more.

Yeah, I cannot do by myself. Yeah, he helps me a lot.

Q. With this being your rookie year, what are some things you think you learned about yourself throughout the process?

MINJI KANG: Like to be honest, it's kind of tough schedule to play like 22 events in six month.

There are not many players playing all, like play it all, it's me. So like I would say like we would schedule the -- how do I say -- like maybe we need to take a break when we need and just practice when you practice.

Like it's not practicing all day, like all week, because there are like tournaments like straight, like five weeks in a row, so, yeah.

Q. Time management must be very important.

MINJI KANG: Uh-huh.
