Q. What a day; 6-under 66 to kind of vault up the leaderboard and sitting at the top heading into tomorrow. What switched out? What was the mindset? I know you found some good golf yesterday but continued it on today.
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, I just played really consistent, like especially on the front. I missed actually quite a bit of putts in the end, so I thought I could maybe trip on a couple more birdies, but other than that, I just hit the ball really well, and I feel like overall my game has been shaping up for the end of the year and stuff.
Yeah, I just feel like I did everything pretty solid overall today.
Q. How gettable is this golf course right now? There's some low numbers out there right now.
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, I mean, today, especially the front nine, the wind was so low, it was so attackable. Even with the pins, they tried to tuck them a little bit more. I think if it was just as windy as it was the last two days, it would have been a little harder.
But 18 will probably be the leader or something tomorrow, and I just think it's not playing super soft or too long either, so it's definitely a gettable golf course, which is fun. I think it's fun to shoot some low numbers.
Q. Playing last week at Wal-Mart, actually Monday qualified on the LPGA Tour last week, what did that do for your confidence coming into this week? Does that give you an idea of where you stand against those girls out on the LPGA?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, that was my third Monday qualifier that I qualified for, also, so I felt like I was just excited to play over there. I really like the golf course. I didn't play that well the second day, so I missed it by a couple, but I obviously want that same goal for me, and I want to be out there hopefully by next year just to start competing. It's good to just be playing good golf at the end of this year because Q-school is coming up and stuff, so I'm just excited for that.
But yeah, I really enjoyed the event last weekend. I think that golf course was completely different from this one, but every week is different.
Q. Then just to be playing this good a golf with stage 2 coming up, with Q-Series coming up, and also tomorrow, how confident are you in really where your game is at right now to attack these next couple opportunities to get that Tour card?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, I think you just have to take it one step at a time. There's so much time in between -- stage 2 doesn't even start until like two weeks, and then it's another month and a half until Q-Series, so just taking it step by step. But mentally, I feel like just got to keep trending and keep playing as well as I possibly can, yeah.
Q. What were the other two events you Monday qualified for?
GURLEEN KAUR: I qualified for the Huawei last year, which is the Ascendant now, and then I played the ShopRite this year, as well.
Q. Going from Ascendant, which was also this week last year to this year, the Epson TOUR Championship, how have you seen yourself grow in that time frame?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, I think just trying to play every year, and every year is different. Just trying to keep growing, and last year I Monday qualified but I wasn't playing many Epson events. It's definitely a step forward to be here and stuff.
Q. Ashleen rooting you on, texting you all the time?
GURLEEN KAUR: Yeah, my sister is in North Carolina now. They're playing North Carolina, and then they're going to Hawai'i like the end of Q-school, so I can't go. Otherwise I would have been there, too.
