Q. The way you started, I'm wondering, was a sub-60 round in your mind, and did that add additional pressure towards the end of your round?
CAM SMITH: No, I don't think it was ever really in my mind. I think I was more worried about getting on the top of the leaderboard at that point. I started so far behind, and it seemed like everyone got off to a hot start.
I was just worried about getting up there at the top as close as I could, and like you said, it was a bit of a disappointing finish, but all in all, a pretty good day.
Q. You came really close a few times this year, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK. You have yet to clinch a win this season. What is it going to take to seal the deal tomorrow?
CAM SMITH: Probably another one of those. Probably maybe even better than that. There's a lot of good guys right at the top of the leaderboard there. There's a lot of guys within two or three shots of the lead, as well. Someone is going to have to go really low, I think.
Q. The Ripper boys performed well today. You guys coming into this week, you're protecting that third bye spot going into the team championship. As team captain, how much of that was playing on your mind this week?
CAM SMITH: Yeah, I think it's kind of playing on all of our minds. It's definitely one that you want to get. It's nice to start in the second round there. It's nice to get another day of prep and just kind of another day of relaxation. We've had such a long season. I feel like we've played a lot of golf. Another day off does a world of wonders.
We're all thinking about it, and hopefully we can go out there tomorrow and get out there and win.
