Indianapolis - 27, New Orleans - 38
Q. Hey, Gardener. The first half, you guys had some really long -- scored some early points. What do you attribute to kind of the lull in the second half, do you think?
GARDNER MINSHEW: I don't know, man. I think we'll have to watch the film. We had a couple of penalties kind of hurt us. I think we kind of got behind the chains. I think that was when we were doing a really good job of, running the ball well, moving the chains, getting some manageable third downs. And I feel like we might have gotten away from it. But I'll have to watch the film to know for sure.
Q. What happened with the interception? You were trying to get it to Pittman? Just --
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, we were trying a double move to Pitt and I threw it up. The guy didn't bite for it. Should have just kept moving on. Yeah, that's on me.
Q. The touchdown to Ogletree. I mean, you extended the play. What did you see?
GARDNER MINSHEW: Just trying to make a play at that point. You know, original play was pretty covered. I was able to get out of the pocket and, you know, kudos to him. He's running a route completely the other way and turned back around. I was really hustling and fighting for it and that's what it was for us.
Q. (No microphone.)
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, I don't know. Everybody talks about, you know, toughness, can you get back up when you get hit. Or if you get hit once, you get hit twice, okay, now, three times, right, is tough. When your body hurts, when your heart hurts, who's tough? I think we're about to figure that out, you know? But I feel good about the guys that we got. I don't think we're far off. I think we clean a few things up, start playing some complementary football, and we can do everything we want to do still.
Q. Did they make some adjustments against the run later in the game? Because you guys did hurt them early on. What, if anything, did they do?
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, I'm not sure, really. That's another thing, really, I'll have to watch the tape to kind of know for sure.
Q. (No microphone.)
GARDNER MINSHEW: You feel it a little bit. But I think that kind of goes back to us putting ourselves in some tougher positions, you know, first and second down, kind of putting us in second and pass and situations where we needed to throw the ball. But, you know, we'll have to look at it and figure out the best way for it.
