Army 29, UTSA 24

BRYSON DAILY: Yeah, it was good play call by Coach Worley. Kind of caught them unexpected. Made a great play. There was a lot of those today that the receivers did a great job of bringing in the ball. Great protection by the O-line, so it was successful.

BRYSON DAILY: Yeah, it was incredible. The defense did what they've done all season: make big stops in big moments. We really needed it right there. Set up an easy touchdown drive for us.
That was great team football right there.

BRYSON DAILY: If I remember right, that was a counter play. I was running behind Finucane here. They full flow ran with Noah. I was able to follow the guard and tackle. Finucane made a great block on the perimeter and we were able to get in the box.

BRYSON DAILY: I think every game you take what the defense gives you. They were bringing secondary pressure really hard, making it really difficult to run the ball at times. That's why we were able to hit some more passing plays this week.
That's always the plan: just take what they give you. That was the plan this week.

CONNOR FINUCANE: It's a great feeling in the second-to-last home game here to get a win, especially for all the seniors that I've grown up with here. Seeing Bryson and Cody and Max just doing a great job leading this team.
Q. (No microphone.)
BRYSON DAILY: Yeah, it was a great team win. At times we got to score touchdowns instead of field goals. It won't make it as close. Great team win. Great to see the defense play their hearts out like they've done all season.
We knew a close game was coming at some point this season. That was today. I'm just proud of the fight in our guys. That was really good to see.
Q. (No microphone.)
BRYSON DAILY: Yeah, like I said, there was still some touchdowns left out there that wish we could have converted on to help the defense out a little bit.
We were able to do just enough to get the win. Really proud of the offense, especially the guys up front making holes, allowing us to score those.
Q. (No microphone.)
CONNOR FINUCANE: Yeah, it's a great opportunity for the organization, the first year in the American Conference to compete for a title. Especially with the (indiscernible) going in the building, every game going on is really for a championship. We have to elevate as a team 'cause there is more that's on the line in the next coming game, for sure.
Q. (No microphone.)
CONNOR FINUCANE: Yeah, all it takes is just all 11 guys doing their job. We got 10 guys sustaining blocks, one ball carrier executing what we needed to do. That's what kind of happened when the whole offense was on the same page, we had productive plays. When we weren't, we had negative-yardage plays.
We can do much better. It was not our best game on offense. I think everybody's going to have a great week of practice preparing Tulane this Friday.
Q. How nice is it to know if you have to complete big passes today, you have the ability to do that, and your receivers can get open and make great catches?
BRYSON DAILY: We've been confident in that throughout the season. We just need to utilize it more today. Seeing guys like Liam, T-Rob come up with big catches that might not have had as many targets throughout the season, seeing them make big plays is awesome.
Guys like Casey, who has been there all season making plays. He ran some really good routes against some tight man coverage and made some plays. It wasn't all wide open today.
It's great to see the guys make plays. Like you said, the O-line did a great job blocking up front, gave me time to make those throws.
Q. Connor, did the O-line spend extra time practicing pass blocking this week?
CONNOR FINUCANE: No, actually had a very vanilla week of practice. I think just what UTSA was doing, they did a very good job on defense. Players played hard. Well-coached. That's what they were giving us.
Q. Connor, what does it mean to you for Army to go 10-1 for the fourth time in history and still have so much more to play for?
CONNOR FINUCANE: It's a great accomplishment. As you said, the season is not over. We have a lot to play for. It's just a testament to the senior leadership and the captains of this team executing what Coach Monken wants, just representing the tradition of the brotherhood.
Q. Bryson, can you talk about finding other ways to win today. UTSA was stopping up the run game, denying you on the outside. Still persisted, starting make adjustments, broke the game open.
BRYSON DAILY: Yeah, I think that speaks a lot to Coach Worley's plan, his ability to get us into some other plays when our base game plan isn't as successful.
So just having answers to what the defense is doing has been huge this year. Coach Worley has done a good job of putting us in good positions.
Q. Bryson, talk about Trey getting three field goals for you guys.
BRYSON DAILY: That was huge. We needed him today. Like I said, we got to finish with touchdowns and let Trey just hang out on the sideline. When he was called on, he made those field goals. That was huge for us today.
THE MODERATOR: Thank you.
