Los Angeles, California, USA

Austin 2, LA Galaxy 0

Q. Greg said earlier he thought the team didn't appear or didn't show up for the first 20 minutes. Do you feel the same way as well?

MAYA YOSHIDA: Yes. We made a wrong start in the game. Well, first seven minutes, conceded and then everything became more difficult. Of course, especially when you're hear, Austin, humidity, everything made a more difficult situation. But we were not enough today, and no one deserve to talk anything to be honest. I don't deserve anything for my performance. We deserve to lose today. We are very disappointed. We have to learn from this defeat.

Q. I think Greg mentioned, too, that momentum is really important in this league. Do you guys still feel that you guys still being at the top of the table at the moment, that there is still momentum for you guys after this loss?

MAYA YOSHIDA: As I say, probably last game, last home game, it's still just nine, ten games. Too early to talk about the tables. We need to focus on ourselves, especially after a defeat like this game. We need to come back strong like we did after the defeat from LAFC last time. So we need to have a good recovery and recharge mentality and get ready for the game sense Seattle. That's also a difficult against them away that we remember from last game, last season.

Q. What do you think the reason was for that start? Is it just the early start, the early start West Coast time or what do you think the overriding factor was?

Yeah, of course, it's not easy. It's a 10:30 kickoff in L.A. time and we have to eat at like 7:30 or something L.A. time. But again, there's no point to just find an excuse. We have to focus on ourselves. As I say, we don't deserve anything, and even though I speak here in front of the public, excusing the referee, excusing the pitch, the humidity, blah, blah, blah, this is part of soccer, part of MLS. We have to adapt. I don't excuse. So I prefer to show a good reaction for the next game.

Q. We saw Jalen get back on the field today. What do you think he would bring to this group as the season progresses here?

He just came back, so -- he just came back, and well, the second half we dominated the game most of the time. It's difficult to say right now but it's always good to be back with core players on the squad. Also we have a couple injury, suspension and some accidents, so we need to have a great squad and everyone has to be ready. Like today, Miguel played, and sorry for him that we didn't play well, and he has to sacrifice for us. But we need to be as one good, strong group to make solidarity and we keep doing, and Jalen has to show his quality, and he has confidence, for sure. But still, he just came back from a long-term injury so I don't want to push too much for him.
