Q. I just want to know your feelings about the game and maybe talk about how the team is feeling after a game where you guys dominated possession, shots, but still end up losing the game.

MAYA YOSHIDA: The team is, of course, disappointed, yes. Also, myself, disappointed with what happened that we conceded. But overall, we dominated the game, and sometimes, the game is very unacceptable. But of course, yes, even that mistakes or individual error can happen in the game. But we had too many now. Even including myself, and we have to reduce this kind of individual errors and build our confidence and the structure game by game.

I think today, of course, the game we wanted to win, we must win. But it was very difficult to accept, even we had a lot of chances, and they didn't have any chances.

Q. Have you ever been a part of a game where a team doesn't have a shot on goal and they end up winning a game?

MAYA YOSHIDA: Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes happen. But it's no point to blame each other, striker or defenders and mistakes or someone not scoring, blah, blah, blah. It's all, we have to improve. We have to lift up ourselves, and we have now a difficult game coming, Red Bull, surely they want to beat us after what happened last season. And our away trip is done after that, Philadelphia, as well.

So we don't have a long time. We don't have time to have head down too much. So head up and do what we need to do.

Of course the fans are disappointed, as well, I can feel, I can imagine, especially as a center back that, kind of came, I have to be patient a lot and at least we should get one point.

Me personally very disappointing but happy to be back on the pitch and appreciate to the medical staff who was who contribute to me to come back quicker. The scan showing four to six weeks, and last week, I came back three and a half weeks. I really appreciate what they have done.

Q. Just kind of what you've seen from these last couple games, does this feel like maybe a confidence issue for the team? Does it feel like maybe there's some second-guessing? Did you see that in the team from your point of view?

MAYA YOSHIDA: Yeah, the last couple games, I think we lost a lot of confidence.

Today I didn't feel that. On the other hand, today I felt much more confidence and about tempo, control in pass, not thinking too much, and side-to-side and dominated, and short pass, long pass, really comfortable to play with the ball.

Even though we couldn't win, that's part of our job, part of soccer.

Q. Obviously this is a tough game given the conditions. What's the environment in the locker room? Were you guys talking? Is it silent? Curious to know how you come into the dressing room after a game like this.

MAYA YOSHIDA: Of course it's not same like last season. But we try it make it better. Some players spoke, and I personally spoke with Coach and the general manager to keep our atmosphere better. Also, disciplined, the time and the structure, respecting each other.

There's nothing wrong in the dressing room, especially this season, we have Marco, me, also Zanka, some experienced players surrounding me. So for me, it's much easier to organize.

Q. This team is certainly a lot more talented than its record shows. The record is not emblematic of how you guys have played. While there have been problems, you guys should have at least three wins now, maybe four. Have you ever gone through a stretch like this where it seems everything goes wrong, and how do you see your way out of it?

MAYA YOSHIDA: We try to get away from that kind of chaos. Like, you know, but unfortunate results came back to us in the other side. Like today, I came back on the pitch, and then I try to contribute to the team and unfortunately the result became opposite. Also, they didn't have even chances. Instead, we got two injury, and Joseph, and Pec is out. DP is huge in MLS and now we don't have a DP.

Somehow the things going to difficult side, unfortunately. But can't change many things in one week. So we try to do what we need to do, and wait for the -- or get back our winning way.

Q. Have you ever gone through a stretch like this in your career?

MAYA YOSHIDA: Me personally, yes, and also as a team, yes. I have more difficult time in Europe. Like Holland, we are almost bottom whole the season.

But difference, MLS have no relegation, so that's a different pressure. I don't know it's good or not but this is the rule. Different rules.

Of course, Schalke relegated, as well. The pressure is huge in there. It's different. I'm not saying that that's better but I can feel how hard for that.

But for the fans, also, and how embarrassing for ourselves, especially me or someone who has experience and try to help the team. But we couldn't so far. You know, it's very stressful.

Q. Lastly, just from your viewpoint, what exactly happened on the goal?

MAYA YOSHIDA: The cross was very quick, and the ball -- I think ball came between the legs and tried to create -- the ball and deflected it, unfortunately.

Again it shouldn't happen in this moment because we are very struggling in the League. But as a center back, that kind of mistakes could be happen sometime, and we have to accept it -- we shouldn't accept it but the reaction from that is very important.

Probably this interview, probably academy or young players watching, and as say center back, that can't be happen.

But probably first 15 minutes, and after that, my performance shouldn't affect it from that kind of mistakes. And today, I think, or you may saw my performance wasn't affected from that mistake. That's the most important things. How we react as a center back is a very, very important key to improve. After that I had a mistake, but after that, I pride myself, not affected at all rest of the game.
