Q. Talk about adjusting to maim or league soccer and the Galaxy. How do you feel now compared to when you first arrived?
MATHEUS NASCIMENTO: First of all, it's an honor to be with the Galaxy. It's the place that I would like to be and I'm glad that I'm here. My adaptation has been great. There's a lot of Brazilians around and that helps me. Also, with the team, and the whole coaching staff, with the they welcome me in, I felt like I was already part of the team for a long time. I'm so happy with the welcome they gave.
Q. What have has been the difference in the first six months of the season?
MATHEUS NASCIMENTO: For example, in Brazil, the game is very controlled and here it's physical and I have to adapt myself into that. Day-by-day, I've been getting used to all that, and also playing, gives me confidence and I have help on a daily basis. Also my coach gives me all the confidence that I need to be in my best form. That's definitely something that's helped me a lot.
Q. Wanted to ask you, when you were with Botafogo, you weren't getting as much playing time as you wanted and now you're playing and scoring goals. How much fun are you having playing with Marco and Gabriel and Joseph, and how much are you enjoying being the starting striker for this club?
MATHEUS NASCIMENTO: Well, when I got here, the team was already in a place. I had to find my way through into the team. I was not having many opportunities the based on the way the coach was teeing the team in the beginning of the season. With players like Marco, Gabriel, Joseph Paintsil, it's easy for my to adapt on the front with those regular players. They connect well, and I hope I can score more goals.
Q. What do you feel about Greg Vanney's play style, and what are your goals for your time here in L.A.?
MATHEUS NASCIMENTO: First of all, thank you.
The style of play is good for me. I'm a nine that likes to be very mobile, getting outside of the box and play out of the box. Greg likes to play with the ball all the time, and myself, getting out of the box, combined with Marco, Gab and Joe, gives a lot of uncertainty on the opposition and that gives us a good chance and opportunity going forward.
About the city, it's an amazing city.
Q. You've been here with the team for about six months now and it's been somewhat of a difficult season but nights like tonight where you get a win, really showed off how you are integrating to the team. On a personal level, are nights like tonight fun? Did you have fun out there tonight?
MATHEUS NASCIMENTO: We didn't start the season the way we expected. In the last games, I think we have shown we have been changing the perspective of people and also ourselves. Tonight, we showed what our team is capable of doing.
