Q. Congratulations on the game. Saw when you came off the field Greg gave you a big hug, maybe an extra couple words. What did he say to you?

ELIJAH WYNDER: Just he saw that I wanted to keep playing more and he was just telling me, because I'm just coming back from injury, just end of restrictions. That's all it was.

Q. I know he talked about maybe a little frustrating starting the season with an injury. How did it feel out there to be in with Lucas? I thought you guys both had a really good game. How does it feel to effect a game like this after you've been injured for a little while? I'm sure you've been dying to get out there.

ELIJAH WYNDER: Yeah, like you said, it wasn't a typical start for the season for me personally. Picked up the injury last training of the pre-season. So looking forward to the start of the season and all that and then find out that my calf was injured. Like you said, I've been jumping to get back out there since the third day in the gym.

Adam is probably annoyed with me, dealing with me on the sideline. It was great to get back out there and like you said, play with Lucas, Eddie in the middle, get the first minutes back under my belt.

Q. Looking back to last year, coming into this season, do you feel like you're a new person almost?

ELIJAH WYNDER: I feel like I've definitely learned a lot and grown a lot. Beginning of last year I was a big learning curve for me going from the way I used to play into Greg's system.

I think towards the end of last season I picked it up, learned a lot, and then definitely going into this season definitely more comfortable.

Q. Go back to last year, was it just learning the system that slowed you down early on? I mean, how complicated is it for somebody out there watching you guys? They're playing soccer. How difficult is it? But then, how difficult is it?

ELIJAH WYNDER: Yeah, there is a lot more that goes into it than I guess you see from outside the field. Just little stuff, everybody knows when the ball goes to one spot where they should be, and when you're new to start it's hard. You're a step behind and it can mess up everything, the whole rotation.

So a lot more goes into it than people see.

Q. You talk about all the work that you and Lucas had to do to get to this point. You're looking like two really important cogs in this system. Is there a little bit of a kinship between you and Lucas in that you both came in at the same time and faced similar challenges, learning I would imagine similar roles? The performance you guys had today for me was probably for each you some of your best in a Galaxy shirt. Talk about this growth and maybe the journey you both have been on to get to this point.

ELIJAH WYNDER: Yeah, there is definitely a kinship there. We don't always love each other, but we speak in a Spanglish I guess. We do a lot of work together with Nick after training. We play the same position we do a lot of like turning work or tactical work after training together.

Q. Has he put you onto the mate yet, the tea?

ELIJAH WYNDER: Not yet. I haven't tried that.

Q. What was the injury?

ELIJAH WYNDER: Strained my calf.
