Raptors 130, Wizards 122
Q. What went into tonight?
BRIAN KEEFE: Yeah, it's obvious we didn't come out great. Got down pretty big, but the resilience and the fight from the group was great. We won the last three quarters, I think, by plus 17. I liked the fight. Didn't love the start. Got to start better. But give our guys credit for not hanging their heads. They dug in, made a stand, and made it a ballgame.
Q. Big night for Jordan. That's the third or fourth time in the last 10 games. What have you seen from him as a player?
BRIAN KEEFE: This is what we envisioned when we put the ball in his hands more, someone who can attack and make plays for himself, but really when he draws crowds, he can make plays for others. So he's continuing to grow in his development with that, but I was pleased with his effort after the first quarter for our whole team.
Q. Big night for Deni. What did you see from him?
BRIAN KEEFE: I thought Deni once we got going, attacking the rim, the rebounding, play making, the stuff that he usually does, the defense, he had some blocked shots in there when we made the run, helped us get going.
Q. You guys were able to get kind of closer towards the end but they pulled away. What kept you guys at bay?
BRIAN KEEFE: We expended a lot of energy trying to get ourselves back into that game. Big key for us in that first half was Patrick Baldwin, Jr., really came in and changed the game for us with his defense, a couple steals, a couple blocks, verticals at the rim, and I think he had 11 rebounds tonight.
I thought he was a big impact in that second quarter that helped change the tide of the game, and he played well the rest.
Q. (Indiscernible) is there anything that he could change or anything that you have made him change?
BRIAN KEEFE: No, I like how he's playing. We totally trust him with the ball. We want him to make plays for himself, play fast, be aggressive. He draws so much of a crowd for his teammates that allows his teammates to get easy shots. He's been great.
Q. I know you haven't been around for whole season, but unfortunately this is the 64th loss for this team, a record total. Is that something you push aside at this point in the year, and do you worry about the ultimate win loss total at this point?
BRIAN KEEFE: We're all competitors. Nobody wants to lose. Our organization is not about that, but we're in the process of learning how to win. So we're focused on the day-to-day habits. That's what our sole focus is, and that will be our sole focus for the rest of the year. We want to get better. These games matter to us, and we're going to try to use each one each day to get our team better and grow.
