Q. As you look back on this season, what are some of the positives that you take out of it?
JOHNNY DAVIS: Definitely just kind of like the new energy that Michael and Will brought to the organization. I thought it was really good for us. Overall just bonding with my teammates on the road trips. I would definitely say that was a positive.
Q. How do you describe those guys, Will and Michael, because obviously you have a perspective on them that none of us in this room have.
JOHNNY DAVIS: Yeah, they both have great personalities, great family men, but most importantly, they're just very organized and down to business. They have a vision for us, and we all believe in it.
Q. Back in October you said you wanted to improve your play making and your shooting. Over the course of the year how do you think you've improved in those two areas?
JOHNNY DAVIS: I thought I definitely improved. You only improve by playing games, so obviously I played more games this year than I did last year. Probably didn't play as much as I would have wanted to, but that doesn't really matter. It's all about what helps the team win.
I thought when I did get the opportunity to play, though, I made the most of my minutes and definitely got better.
Q. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that your shooting stroke has changed a bit over the last year and a half. Have you made any form adjustment changes at all, or am I incorrect?
JOHNNY DAVIS: It's kind of more of a feel thing. I'm working with a lot of different people trying to take bits of information from a lot of other guys that know how to shoot the ball. I mean, most of the time I'll just watch Corey shoot and be like, damn, how does he shoot like that. So it's more of a feel thing, and it's just going to take a lot of work and a lot of reps to get it to feel how I want it to feel. A lot goes into it.
Q. Entering the off-season, now your second full off-season in D.C., how excited are you to build upon what you've done and be a part of this rebuild?
JOHNNY DAVIS: Yeah, I mean, I think it's going to be a really big summer for everybody, just working on getting better. That's really it. Just comes down to who wants to work and who wants it more.
Q. How have you gone about being as physical as you've been on the defensive end? I know that's one of the things that the coaches really admire about your game, how much effort you put in on defense and how physical you are.
JOHNNY DAVIS: It definitely helped putting on a little bit of weight this past summer and also just kind of knowing my role on the team. There's minutes everywhere in the league for guys who want to do all the little things. That's defending, rebounding, not missing a rotation on the defensive end. I kind of just figured if that's my role, I've got to be able to do the role to the best of my ability.
