Raptors 125, Wizards 98
Q. Being in your first official NBA game, what has the moment been like and how has it felt to play alongside Alex?
KYSHAWN GEORGE: It's just great. Now we're three players that's fresh on the team. It's amazing. Just to be able to take the court on them -- build that chemistry off the court because we speak a little French between us, and then just bringing it on the court. It's fun.
Q. Alex, obviously a great game for you. What went right?
ALEX SARR: Well, I feel like we started a little slow as a team in the first quarter, but we got our second wind in the second half, second quarter, so I feel like us finding the pace for me, like finding the rhythm.
Q. Talk about the process of developing that two-man game?
ALEX SARR: Yeah, he draws a lot of attention obviously because of how well he scores the ball and all the other things he does. If I can just try to get him open, learn about his angles, I think that will benefit the both of us.
Q. Alex, you talked about the speed of the NBA, getting used to that. How much different was it, and how unprepared or prepared were you actually being thrown into it and getting to experience it in real time?
ALEX SARR: Yeah, I feel like we did a good job, like the last three weeks we really ramped up our training camp. It got harder. Coaches were telling us to push it because they knew that games were coming. So I felt like I was ready as far as the physical standpoint, where now I feel like I know I've got to do it from the first minute I get in the game, and it was a good learning.
Q. Kyshawn, you had some really strong moments there late in the third quarter, the two threes, the touch pass. How good did it feel to be hitting on all cylinders like that?
KYSHAWN GEORGE: I mean, it felt great, first bucket. I didn't necessarily expect it, but it's okay, I like it. Yeah, just able to learn my teammates, learn how our team is going to put it together, and I found my spot in that situation, and just getting into a rhythm where we understand each other as a team and everybody can eat, and everybody is going to find their shot, the ball is going to move, and we're going to play together as a team.
Q. Alex, how did you feel defensively when you were playing alongside Jonas?
ALEX SARR: I felt pretty good. I felt like we did a better job in the second quarter defensively, me and him, but he's such a presence. It's really impressive, and I think he's going to be really good for us defensively. When he goes for a block, I can help on his man. It's going to be interesting learning how to play better with each other.
