Knicks 117, Wizards 94
Q. You talked after the Toronto game about the defensive intensity and how you didn't really see it from your team. It seemed like today was better. What did you think?
BRIAN KEEFE: Yeah, for sure. We came out with force, played good defensively, made them take tough shots. They made a few, but I thought our defensive effort was good. Delivered them on the offensive rebounds. You know we turned the ball over quite a bit, we actually got back in transition pretty good. So much better.
Q. With those turnovers what did you see, especially from Jordan and Kyle?
BRIAN KEEFE: All out of good intentions. I think we played with good intentions tonight. Some of those things just were a little crowd. We're learning each other a little bit. These are things we've just got to play with a little bit more poise. But for the most part our intentions were good. They weren't like selfish turnovers. They were trying to pass to each other and some things got tipped. We'll clean that stuff up as we go.
Q. Kyshawn looked really good. What did you think of his game?
BRIAN KEEFE: Good. Came in, gave us a good burst in that first quarter. Just plays a good, simple game, makes quick decisions, sees the floor well. I thought the best part for me, which I'm going to keep talking about with our younger guys, his defense was great tonight. His defense was really good.
Q. What does length allow you guys to do, his length, Alex's length, three rookies in particular the size they have?
BRIAN KEEFE: Defensive versatility, ball pressure, active hands, protecting the rim. I think those guys had six blocks between the two of them.
