Bulls 127, Wizards 108
Q. Alex, career high tonight, made a lot from three. There's been a lot of conversation about what the in-game repetitions you're getting from three will do for you. Do you think you've learned anything already about what it takes to make three-point shots in the NBA?
ALEX SARR: I mean, yeah, I feel like some shots you can't really pass up, so you just got to learn how to space the floor and sometimes better for offense to not shoot it and drive it, sometimes it's better to shoot it, so you've just got to read the game.
Q. Does a night like tonight help with the confidence to keep firing from deep?
ALEX SARR: I mean, no matter what would have happened tonight, I would have kept shooting the open ones and kept attacking when they're close to me, so it doesn't change much.
Q. How would you rate your rebounding tonight?
ALEX SARR: It was all right. I felt like I could have grabbed some more, obviously, but I was still present.
Q. How has your defense grown or improved since the start of the regular season?
ALEX SARR: I would say being able to learn how to play defense on bigger guys, then switch on the perimeter in the same play, like trying to notice scouting on the guys. That's something that I'm still learning. But I feel like I'm doing a better job of. I really like knowing most of the opponents I'm playing on the other team, know their tendencies, and I feel like that helps a lot.
Q. What right now is the biggest challenge for you in terms of where you want to get better?
ALEX SARR: I mean, I'm trying to get better at everything. Defensively I think I can still be a better defender on the ball, better shot blocker. So I couldn't really pick just one thing.
Q. What do you think is the biggest difference between the NBA and the other leagues that you've played in?
ALEX SARR: Just the level of the players, the pace, and I feel like every player can keep the defense honest, and you can't hide on defense. So I feel like that's the biggest difference.
Q. So far in this season, who do you feel like was your biggest challenge so far going up against?
ALEX SARR: There was a few guys, so I couldn't really pick one. But there's a few guys probably.
Q. Out of all the rookies on the team, Bub has come into and out of the starting lineup and same with Kyshawn, but you've been a starter the whole time. Does that weigh on you, being a consistent starter as a rookie?
ALEX SARR: It's nice, I will say, but at the same time I focus on my production and what I can really add to the team. That's more a coach's thing. But no matter who's on the floor, the most important thing is who stays on the floor. Just trying to have impact when I'm on the floor really.
Q. So far this season -- I'm assuming your defense you would say has been your biggest impact, but is there one thing offensively you've improved on from game 1 to now game 16?
ALEX SARR: I would say knowing my teammates, what spots they like to go to so they can hit me sometimes or I can hit them better. So probably that.
