Cavaliers 115, Wizards 105

Q. The free-throw shooting, how do you balance or get yourselves to the line more, just 9 of 11 versus the 28 of 40?

BRIAN KEEFE: We fouled a little bit at the end when we were trying to trap and get in the game. But that was the second largest disparity of the year in the NBA. We took more rim attempts. We took more paint attempts than them, and we didn't get the same calls they did. Everybody saw it. It's obvious.

We understand, we're never going to blame anybody else. We understand where we are and what we have to earn in this league, but there was an inconsistency that didn't set up for that. We drove the rim, they drove the rim, we drove a lot more than they did, and we didn't get the same calls. Our guys really played their tails off tonight, and we're an attacking team, and we were attacking the rim and we didn't get the same calls. Totally inconsistent. Not right.

Q. How frustrating is it to have a game where you execute really well and you have those good drives to the rim and you're attacking and you don't get those calls and they do?

BRIAN KEEFE: You know what, give credit to our guys. We talked about keep moving on, doing the next right thing. Our guys continued to do that the whole game. They didn't let that distract them. They didn't let that become something that got them down. That's a credit to our players because they could have. It's a credit to the character of our guys in the room.

It's my job to protect them, and that wasn't right tonight. Everybody saw it. We all know it. It's not right.

Q. Is part of that also you played great in the paint with 52 points, getting that advantage there? Knowing the type of attack you guys had, does that show that it could have been an even bigger disparity with regards to the advantage in the paint with the 52?

BRIAN KEEFE: Yeah, we're just going to beat this over the drum, but we played downhill more than they did. 39 attempts to their 31. We were at the rim more than that team, and that's the biggest disparity. Like we said, the second biggest one in the league, and it wasn't close.

Credit to our guys for just fighting through that. Big credit to our guys, continuing to play the right way and get this into a fourth quarter game where we had guys in foul trouble, we had to sub guys out with guys down. That's all I've got for tonight.
