Alex Sarr

Media Conference

Wizards 109, Bucks 99

Q. Alex, how are you feeling and what did it take for to you play tonight?

ALEX SARR: Yeah, feeling good now. Feel like being able to like sweat it out helped me a lot. Definitely feel good and happy we got the win.

Q. And what do you think was the key to you guys having such an advantage in the rebounding department?

ALEX SARR: I think just being more physical, making sure we hit them, and go get the ball really.

Q. Alex, can you talk about the affect that Jamir's defense is having on the team in general?

ALEX SARR: Yeah, like I said? Jamir is really like a pest on defense. He gets a lot of steals. He's physical with guys. Yeah, it's comfortable to bring the ball up against him, so that helps us a lot. Just I would say like having energy defensively.

Q. Alex, 41 points from your reserves. How did the bench impact the game today?

ALEX SARR: Yeah, they impacted it in a big way, like they always do. We have a bench that's able to step up and raise the level of the game when the stars are not doing their job, so that's just great.

Q. Can you talk a little about the energy tonight playing for John Wall Night and how that affected your mentality going into the game?

ALEX SARR: It was great. I feel like the arena was loud. Obviously it was a great night for him getting his recognition to the city, because he's done so much here. I was just happy to see the love that city gave him. Yeah, just great to see.
