Knicks 145, Wizards 113

Q. What did you see from the fourth quarter that kind of gave them a little bit of distance?

BRIAN KEEFE: I really thought it was really the end of the second quarter to me was really the change. We were pretty even there for the most part, and then they went on a big run. I think it was like 16-2. Then we came out to start the third, made them call a time-out, Tristan hit a couple threes. But then they got going, they were hurting us on the boards and they started making some shots. The game got a little bit out of hand there in the fourth.

Q. When you're undersized before the game even starts and then Tristan goes down and you don't know if you can get him back or not, they had a decent advantage in the paint, how do you try to combat that just to try to alleviate some of what they were able to do?

BRIAN KEEFE: Yeah, we went zone a little bit, too, in the fourth to try to make them beat us over the top, so they just weren't getting into the paint. Give them credit, they made some shots. But our guys battled. We were down about five guys there at the end and I thought our guys were competitive and kept playing for the rest of the game.

Q. The threes at halftime, you liked the process you were getting, the shots you were getting. It was just one of those nights where they weren't falling as consistently. Did it feel like that in the second half, with the exception of Jaden?

BRIAN KEEFE: Obviously he made some shots. Tristan made some threes in the second half. But our process was right. We might have been right there in the game at the half. I think we were like 5 for 23 in the first half, I think. They'd only taken 10. Our process was right. We were getting in the paint and we were keeping -- we just didn't make them. But the process was right.

Q. What did you see from Jaden tonight and the way he was able to get shots for himself but also his teammates finding him?

BRIAN KEEFE: He gives us a big lift offensively. He's kind of like instant energy with that stuff. He did that in Boston here about a week ago where he comes in and just gives you scoring ability quickly. He had it going tonight.

Q. I'm curious about Bilal, first half offense not falling but he didn't allow that to take him out of the game, was able to get into a rhythm in the second half. What did you like from him?

BRIAN KEEFE: Yeah, that's growth. You're not always going to come out and play perfect basketball. Can you battle through that? Can you be resilient? Can you find it? I thought he did a great job in the second half.
