Heat 152, Wizards 136
Q. I did want to ask about Will's performance tonight. I know the result of the game was one thing, but the growth that you're seeing from him and what he was able to do with his numbers.
BRIAN KEEFE: I think you asked me if he was efficient. He was efficient tonight and then went and got some steals, too. The efficient offensive stuff is pretty impressive.
Q. When you think of the young guys, with him doing something we haven't seen from a rookie in the franchise, 30 plus points, five steals or more, what has been the biggest impression of him for you this season?
BRIAN KEEFE: I think he's got a confidence about him. He's got a belief in his game, and I think it's because of the work he puts in and the time he puts in. I obviously get to see that every day. This guy really works on his craft. He's very diligent, very intentional. Not surprised how he's improved throughout the year.
Q. With a can you say about his ability to get past people off the dribble and to do so tonight against a good defense?
BRIAN KEEFE: I think we've talked about this a few times. He's got some shiftiness to him, plays at his own pace. Obviously he's got some great pivots and stuff, and then he finishes everything around the rim. That's really hard to do for a rookie, and he's obviously doing it, so kudos to him.
Q. What were you able to do offensively in the second half that allowed you to get going a little more than the first half?
BRIAN KEEFE: Finally got some stops, especially in the fourth quarter, but I think we were just attacking, being more aggressive, getting downhill. I think the zone affected us a little bit there in the second quarter. We were a little passive I thought. But we were very aggressive getting into the paint and kicking out. Sharife did a great job of that in the fourth quarter.
