Colts 27, Panthers 13
Q. How important was it to get that winning taste back? It's been such a long time for this football team.
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, been a while so it was huge, man. I think one of the biggest things is maintaining your confidence through those stretches. I think we all understand what we have potentially as a football team. I think if we played to our potential we would be really good.
You know, so it feels good to be back in the winning ways.
Q. I know it's all about winning, but had to be frustrated by the offense's performance. It's not often you win a game with 200 total yards. Second half was a little tough.
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, Kenny Moore won the game today if you look at it, 14, 13. At the end of the day we knew what we had to do. Our defense was playing really, really well. Like I said Kenny Moore scored 14, so taking care of the ball was huge.
We're undefeated this year taking care of the ball. I think if we continue to do that, put our defense in good spots and play complementary football, we can win games.
Q. How big was it when Josh Downs went out for you?
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, no, we kind of knew through the week he was dealing with some stuff. You know, hate to lose him, great player. Felt really good about Isaiah McKenzie coming in. He did some good things. Got open. I didn't find him on a couple, but got open and played a good game.
But, yeah, always miss a guy like Josh.
Q. Getting a win before the long trip to Germany, how will that help momentum and take away all that long travel?
GARDNER MINSHEW: Yeah, no, I think we should be feeling good after this one, having a lot of confidence going into that. I think we got to lock in. Different week, different travel plans, so lock in on our preparation and be ready to roll.
