Carolina Panthers 27, Miami Dolphins 24
BRADLEY CHUBB: I don't want to speak for everybody but in a sense, felt like we got comfortable and, you know, 27 points after that. That's not... that's not winning football. That's not winning defense, and at the end of the day, we got to all look in the mirror and 'bow up and see who's going to be here for each other, man. See who's going to be accountable for their actions in terms of throughout the week, throughout the days, throughout every single thing because it's not just going through the motions. It's making a change. We sit up here every week talking about we got to stop the run. Stop the run. Stop the run and we make it an emphasis. We got to stop the run and we need to emphasize it more.
Q. Is it schematics? Is it just missing tackles? Not being in the right positions? What...
BRADLEY CHUBB: It's hard to say. It's hard to say right now. We got to watch the film, learn from it, but I feel like everybody as a man could just be better individual and everybody in that locker room will tell you the same thing. On that defense will tell you the same thing. We just got to step up and take ownership of ourselves and take on ownership of what we want this defense to long like.
Q. It's going to take a big effort for next week with the Chargers coming in to bounce back from this. Do you guys have it in you?
BRADLEY CHUBB: Yeah, we're built for it. We're built for it, man. We're built in the fire. We've seen adversity. We've shot ourselves in the foot on defense as much as we could, so there's no other way we can do but respond.
Q. How prepared did you feel you were for Rico Dowdle? Was there early emphasis this week on Chuba Hubbard, or did you feel like...
BRADLEY CHUBB: No, we knew both of their backs were good and when Chuba got called out, we said all right, 5 is going to be the guy and he just made for plays than we did today.
Q. What was it? Because you mentioned you felt the team was maybe too comfortable with the lead, 17-0, what were you feeling on the sideline?
BRADLEY CHUBB: We got two turnovers and we were happy about it, you know? Just got to keep that same fire, stay on the neck, don't let them breathe and just be a defense that has that killer instinct and just go out there and finish the game. Can't give up 27 after starting off fast and feeling ourselves.
Q. How much pressure is put on you when you come out five punts in a row from your offense and you're just kind of trying to stay afloat?
BRADLEY CHUBB: I don't think that matters, man. We just got to stop the run, man. We got to be better on defense, and we will. We're all going to, as a man, look in the mirror, take the challenge. Be better throughout the week. Be better on game day and this defense will get corrected.
Q. What more can be done to start stopping the run?
BRADLEY CHUBB: Like I said, everybody as a man, look in the mirror and what can you do 1% better? Oh, I'm going to make that play. Oh, no, we got to make it. We got to show it. We got to be it. We got to live it. Breathe it and be it at the end of the day, so.
THE MODERATOR: All right, thank you very much.
