Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16, Carolina Panthers 14
BRYCE YOUNG: I love being a part of this team. The fight that we've shown all year, the fight that we always have. The resolve. Again, not feeling what we want to right now, but I wouldn't want to be in this position, in this year, this season with any other group. So we'll sit by the TV tomorrow.
Q. Bryce, you only have one more game that could potentially help this team get into the playoffs. How do you stay motivated?
BRYCE YOUNG: It's easy to stay motivated if it goes that way. Obviously we understand that opportunity. It's been a goal of ours. Winning the South has been a goal of ours since day one, so getting that opportunity, obviously that's -- no need to. You're not going to have any lack of motivation there, but obviously it's out of our hands now.
Q. Bryce, can you help us understand what worked in the passing game sort of the last three quarters that maybe didn't work in the first few drives there. What got things going?
BRYCE YOUNG: I think we just found our rhythm a little bit. People around me did a great job. Obviously you want to be able to have that for all four quarters so I take ownership in that, being able to do a better job and facilitating and making something happen so it can be consistent, but wasn't enough today.
Q. Bryce, on the flea flicker, can you describe what you saw and what happened?
BRYCE YOUNG: Yeah, Rico slipped. It's one of those freak plays. You lose your balance as you're tossing the ball back, which is... that's one of these freak things. That's not a football thing. That normally happens. Trying to get the ball, pick it up, didn't get on it. Didn't get that. Just an unfortunate thing. Part of the game. Just unfortunate break.
Q. Did you just make a split-second decision to try to pick it up and do something as opposed to dive on it?
BRYCE YOUNG: Yeah, I think probably natural instinct was to try to pick it up and wasn't what happened. Obviously in hindsight the ball touched my hands. It should end there, so I take all the ownership for that.
Q. Bryce, that was a battle (inaudible) after the backwards pass. Your discussion with the official, what were you pleading to him?
BRYCE YOUNG: Yeah, I was confused originally because we got scooted back. There wasn't like a -- they didn't tell us anything or anything. Just now we're in a different position. You know, again, tough break. It is what it is that's not why we lost, that's not why we didn't get it done. I look in the mirror first. There's stuff that I could have done better. We're all guys that take ownership. That's not the reason. We just, credit to our opponent, we weren't good enough today.
Q. Can you imagine what you'll be feeling form watching the Falcons?
BRYCE YOUNG: Um, yeah, I don't know. I don't know. We'll see if -- yeah, I haven't thought about it. Yeah. It'll be a tough one. Might not even watch, to be honest with you. Might just see how it ends up. So, uh, yeah. It's on us for that being our reality. We had an opportunity to take it and now we have to leave it in someone else's hands so we take ownership in that.
Q. Have you ever experienced anything like that at all at the end of the season where you're sort of relying on something else to fall in place?
BRYCE YOUNG: First time for everything, so we'll see how it goes.
