Q. How did you wake up today after that catch last night?

RYAN McMAHON: I woke up fine, man. We got in late, got some good sleep. Feeling good. Ready for the series.

Q. You feel it anywhere?

RYAN McMAHON: No, I feel good.

Q. You ever make a play anything like that before, going over the railing or something?

RYAN McMAHON: Yeah, I've gone over the railing a couple of times, but nothing like that magnitude in a game like that. Like I told you guys last night, with Schlit rolling the way he was, just trying everything I could to get an out for him.

Q. We could see too well from our angle. Did the Sox help you out there?

RYAN McMAHON: I don't remember it too well. I watched the video. I saw Weissert in there. I think I would have had a pretty nasty fall if he didn't grab me before that. So thanks to him.

Q. What do you think of the way you guys have played defensively as an infield late here the last couple of weeks with everybody here clicking?

RYAN McMAHON: I think it's been really good. Obviously Jazz makes that incredible play up the middle to save a run. But taking care of the baseball, making sure we're turning outs into outs. Pitching and hitting is obviously a strength of ours, so if we take care of the ball on defense, should give us a pretty good chance to win the ball game.

Q. I know you've only played out here a couple times in your career. Do you go out and test grounders or anything like that?

RYAN McMAHON: First day I get anywhere, I always try to do that. Chappy, our infield guy, is really good about that too. We'll hit it hard today and tomorrow and feel good about it going into the game.

Q. What kind of a challenge does Kevin Gausman pose?

RYAN McMAHON: He's a really good pitcher, and he's had a lot of really good success lately. He's got a good pitch mix that kind of keeps you off balance. I think it's just about getting a pitch to handle and make sure we end the at-bat there and don't give him extra chances to try to get you out.

Q. If you go back to July, what has this whole experience been like for you playing for the Yankees? What do you take away from it so far?

RYAN McMAHON: It's been fun, man. Getting in the playoffs, it's the purest form of baseball. You don't care about your numbers. You don't care about how you do individually. It's just about winning ball games, man. It's been a lot of fun.
