Q. The term "Playoff Rocchio" keeps getting thrown around. What makes you rise up in the big league?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: Like I said in a couple interviews, I don't think about it. I try to keep my mind focused and competing. This is competing time. There's no self-awareness. It's being competitive as you can.

Q. In the eighth inning, what did you see to open the flood gates?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: I'd been lucky to face him a couple times in Triple-A. In these situations, you have to tone it down a little bit and keep it simple. José's recommendation was look for the fastball. That's what I was trying to do.

Q. Brayan, how hard was that wind blowing in to drive the ball through that?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: Funny enough, when the game started, I was thinking with this wind, we have to put the ball on the ground, try to get ground balls. When I get that mindset to get the ball on the ground is when I get better and better results.

Q. Brayan, you guys were in an elimination setting today. As the game goes on and you're not getting any hits -- I think you had two through the seventh inning -- are you getting more worried and worried? Are you getting a little more worried that this is it. This could be the last game of the season?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: We always say we try to always play without pressure. That's our type of ball. We just play and we realize we're going to play until the last out. Even if we're down by ten, we'll know we'll continue to try to play that type of ball.

Q. Brayan, could you tell me what it means to have José Ramírez as a teammate, how much you've been able to learn from him?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: I think he's the best. I think not many people get the chance to play with a future Hall-of-Famer alongside. Everything he tells you that's something you have to do too. To do best because that's the right way to play the ball.

Q. Sounded like maybe he said something to you in the dugout before the at-bat that you hit the home run. Are you willing to share what we shared with you?

BRAYAN ROCCHIO: Yeah. He just told me if he's going to throw you a cutter, swing like it's a fastball and that's what I was able to do.
