Q. Jazz, can you take us through the scoring on that play in the 8th inning? At what point did you know you could score there?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: Going through my head, I am already running. So any ball that an outfielder moves to his left or right, I have to score, in my head. That's all I was thinking.

Q. Jazz, obviously that's a must-win for you guys. As that game is going on, did you feel -- Ben used the expression all in on their side as well, using the bullpen so early, going to Garrett for 48 pitches, did feel as the game went on it was as much a must-win for them as for you?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: I feel like every game is a must-win. For us, we want to win every day. For us, any other professional athlete thinking about a game they want to play, it is a must-win.

We always put everything out there on the line, especially the playoffs. We want to give every game. There's no space. You don't want to give any team an edge. Obviously a must-win.

Q. Two things. Can you talk about the play at second base that Fernando Cruz said it kind of saved the game there? Did you think you had that? And also, how long did it take you to get over the disappointment from yesterday? By the time you came here today, are you over it, saying we got a game to win, season is on the line?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: I mean, the play with Cruz, I will answer that first. For me, you know what's going on, it is a 3-2 count, runner on second base, runner on third base. They are moving. You see a ground ball, you got to stop it. You have to keep it in the infield. You have to stop that run from scoring.

I felt at that point it would have been a really crucial run. I was doing what I could to keep the ball in the infield. Not trying to make the play at first base but keep it in the infield. I caught the ball, I was like maybe I could make it at first base. At the end of the day, it is stopping that run from scoring.

To your other question, like I said, anything to help us win like the next day, it's win today. So all that was clear before I came to the field today. After I left the field yesterday, it is win the next game. It is win or go home for us. It is all about winning.

Q. How did you get over that? Was it at home last night?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: I played "MLB: The Show," and mercy rules don't win.

(Laughter.)

That's how I get my stress off.

Q. How key -- it seemed like you had a play at first base during that 7th inning. What were you thinking there as far as throwing the runner out at first base?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: I was trying to keep it in the infield. Out or safe, I was trying to make sure the runner didn't score.

Q. Everything is okay with you and Aaron Boone?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: There is never a problem between me and Aaron Boone. He's been my manager all year, and I've stood behind him all year. We always have disagreements. I mean, I played third base this year, and we had a little bit of a disagreement in that.

But at the end of the day, I always stand with Booney because he always understands where I come from. He knows I am a passionate player. He knows I wear my feelings on my sleeve. He knows I am there to compete.

Q. Jazz, when -- we have seen Fernando Cruz be emotional before, but when he gets the last out in the 7th and he is coming off the field, what did you think of that and what kind of lift did that provide for the team?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: Have you ever watched like the "Lion King" and you see when Simba did his roar when he was a younger pup? That's what that reminded me of. That's what it really reminded me of. Because he really has those high spirits.

Like walking around the clubhouse, you would never know if he did bad or good all day. He has that high energy every day.

Watching him go out there and getting out of that jam just shows you how much heart he has. He's always going to fight. He might be a little lion one day. He might be a big lion one day. We go through the hard times. But, you know, at the end of the day, that's the guy I trust going out there every time. He is going to be emotional most of the times. But, you know, we love it.

Q. You have a whole Luffy outfit today, and he has a skill called the gear 2, which enhances his speed. You think you were as fast as Luffy tonight?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: Yeah, I think I was faster than Luffy tonight.

I like that question. A lot.

(Laughter.)

Q. I have to ask you: Which team did you play with last night in "MLB: The Show" and what was the score?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: It is called the New York Aliens. It is my own personally made team. We got me, Ken Griffey Jr. on it, Jimmy Rollins. We were playing online, having fun. It's a lot of fun.

Q. What was the score?

JAZZ CHISHOLM: The score was 12 to 1.

THE MODERATOR: Thanks, Jazz.

JAZZ CHISHOLM: Thank you, guys.
