Q. 65 here at the Genesis Scottish Open. How much did you enjoy it?
CALUM HILL: That was really good fun. It's nice to come in here, probably the biggest event of the year for Scottish people, and have a good start. It's great.
Q. Do you find it hard to be grounded and in the moment when you're playing The Scottish Open?
CALUM HILL: I think so a wee bit, but it's always nice to have family and friends around watching. I think my game feels quite good.
So I came in a bit more relaxed this year, and it's nice just to put a good round together.
Q. What's been the difference for you this year?
CALUM HILL: It's been up and down. There's been some good stuff coming. I've got a little more hold of my ball-striking and my putting is in good shape. New relationship with Stewart, my caddie, is going very well. This is week three, and the first two weeks were very promising as well. I think all those little things come together, equate to good golf.
Q. Not as much wind as you had in the practise rounds to deal with but the course has evolved a bit from some years.
CALUM HILL: Yeah, it's trickier and it's very well refined, even the edging of the rough and even the walkways, it looks beautiful to play and visually. The wind was slightly less but it's still enough to be tricky. It's 200 yards on the 9th hole and my five didn't even sniff. It still plays a long way.
It's always a heavy wind when you're on the coast in Scotland. Plays tricky enough.
