Q. Closing 64 to grab one of of the three shots into The Open next week. Was it on your mind at all coming into the final round?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Yeah, I knew what was on the line. I did the same thing in '23, actually. So I've done it before, and I kind of knew my game was in a good place. Went out there and I thought it was -- I thought it was gettable, and at the same time there were still some tricky holes. I really grinded it out and I'm really happy with the score.
Q. What does it mean to you to get into the final major championship like?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: A lot. I love playing links golf, and Portrush is a nice place. I played there back in 2018 in the Boys' Amateur. So I might not sound like it but I'm really excited to play next week, and just to play another major.
Q. This is a bit of a whirlwind. Are you prepared to make the trip or will you make some stops on the way over?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Kind of. I mean, I need to do a little bit but most of it is taken care of. I'll be all right.
Q. And you said you have some experience?
NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I played a Boys' Amateur, that is seven years ago now, and I love that place. Obviously will be a different setup potentially but just links golf and major is the best thing. Can't wait.
