Q. Lovely start to your campaign here at the BMW PGA. Talk us through that 68 today.
NIKLAS NØRGAARD: It's only my second time here and third tournament round, didn't make the cut last year. Still trying to figure out the course. I think that helped me just be in the moment and just be, yeah, a hundred percent on every shot. Good day today.
Q. If we look at your round last year, do you breathe a sigh of relief after the first couple holes?
NIKLAS NØRGAARD: Actually we're playing downwind today, so it's not that bad. I think there are birdies out there and I think the finish is tougher when we played it right into the wind.
Q. What were your conversations with your caddie as the round was going on; and birdie on 17 is when you joined Rory for the lead.
NIKLAS NØRGAARD: I didn't know that. I'm trying to look away from the leaderboards and even though they are right there, it feels, like, magnetic.
Yeah, just trying to take every shot one at a time and that happened to be a 4, and then we had a lot of conversation on 18. I had no idea how to hit that third shot. Ended up with a cutter, not the right choice but handy to get up-and-down.
Q. You seem like a more relaxed player since the British Masters. Does that make a difference, knowing that first win is behind you?
NIKLAS NØRGAARD: I think it helps to be in those positions. I know it's still Thursday, but yeah, still big names, big crowds, big tournament. So I know last year I would have been shaking coming up 18. But now I feel more relaxed knowing that I've hit good shots in those positions, so that definitely helps.
Q. I know you'll probably feel like you're more in the spotlight, but you went back home and gave one of your clubs that you won the British Masters with?
NIKLAS NØRGAARD: Yeah, I gave away the 60-degree.
Q. Well, you don't need that one anymore, but well-played today.
