Quick Quotes

Q. Lovely to have you back last year at the BMW PGA, 67 to start your account at Wentworth. How did you find it out there?

BILLY HORSCHEL: It was a little challenging. I was shocked by the scores weren't as low as I thought. You know, the greens are slower than I've ever seen. They are receptive. They got a little bounce to them but the rough is down, so I thought scoring was going to be a lot lower than it was.

But when you get out here and you see that the wind is blowing 10, 15, 20 miles per hour at times and it's gusting a little bit, it's a little bit challenge. I was happy with a solid round of golf. Just try to keep it as simple as I could.

Q. The greens have taken a lot of water but they have had the SubAir for two days. Will that evolve?

BILLY HORSCHEL: I know the SubAir is on, you can hear it on every green. You see them drying out but you need heat. You need the sun. You need temperature, and we'll see what we get the next couple days. But I don't know if they are going to get as bouncy as I've seen them in the past.

Q. How are you feeling? I know we couldn't have you in Ireland because you wanted to make sure you were fine but you never know how the body is going to react.

BILLY HORSCHEL: Yeah, the back, muscle/rib, last two weeks, I could barely make a golf swing some days. I just needed an extra week at home to give it rest. I haven't done a lot, so still trying to look after it a little bit. But the swing, it feels a lot better. I haven't had any issues. Putting more time on the range, so far, so good. The muscle seems to be healing up a little bit and hopefully I don't have to deal with it anymore.
