Quick Quotes

Q. 68, what are your thoughts?

ALEX NOREN: It was tricky with the wind but I hit a lot of good iron shots, better iron shots than yesterday. Not as good off the tee, maybe today struggled a little bit with some holes, penalty shots. Overall, I'm really happy with 4-under.

Q. Was it really your iron play that stood out for you the last two days?

ALEX NOREN: Yesterday was probably the best I've ever been off the tee. Just missed barely the two fairways I missed. It's a key around here, I think, just to keep the ball in the fairway, and especially now when you get a little bit of mud balls off the fairway, so it's even more important to hit them.

Then I've had good trajectory with the irons. We've worked hard on it, me, my caddie and my coach. In these conditions, as soon as it gets too high, it's hard to know where it's going to end up. That was good.

Q. Looks like a good score on paper but how good given the conditions?

ALEX NOREN: The greens are soft. The greens, they are not very fast. So the birdies are out there. So you see lower scores than maybe if it was firm and fast greens. So that's what keeps the scores down but hopefully we can get a little firmer, faster on the weekend and with some better weather, and we'll have a tougher course.

Q. Just how tough did the wind make it today?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, it's tough. It adds a lot. You know, but if it would be firm, like dry, it would be really difficult. Now we get a little bit of help from the wet conditions.

Q. You're ideally placed heading into the weekend. Are you looking forward to the challenge that it poses?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, I love being up here with a chance to win. That's what we all play for. It's the best feeling.
