TOM CARLISLE: Delighted to be joined by the 2025 winner of the BMW PGA Championship.

Alex, different to the last time you won coming back from a deficit to winning in a playoff. Just how do you feel?

ALEX NOREN: Amazing. It was such a tough, emotional back nine. He played very well, Adrien, and I thought the leaderboard was kind of stacked the whole way down to 13, 14. It just kept going.

I knew the conditions were going to be tough the last seven holes. It's a weird one because you can't just wait for the rain to come. Hard to focus on the game, as well, because you know it's tough and you don't know how bad it's going to be.

I was extremely happy to first, get in the playoff, and felt a little bit more relaxed, a little bit better weather on the playoff hole.

TOM CARLISLE: You won three weeks ago, your first win in seven years and Adrien was in great form. Did it feel like a battle on the back nine?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, he played really well. He had a lot of putts that could have gone in. Same with Tyrrell. Tyrrell played really good golf.

So you know, I kind of dug deep and hit some good shots in the end and made some good putts. It was tougher than the last three days.

Q. You're one of the more successful Swedish players in DP World Tour history, ahead of Henrik and Robert Karlsson in terms of victories. How proud are you of that feat?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, I never, never thought I would do that growing up. Yeah, when you say it, it feels quite big. Yeah, I'm extremely, extremely happy and proud I kind of dug deep many times and it's a long career. I hopefully have some good more years in me.

Q. According to SKY, another stat is you're the most prolific winner on the DP World Tour since 2009. That's another feather in your cap.

ALEX NOREN: That sounds very good, too (smiles).

Q. Can you just talk a little bit about the bunker shot on 14 and how you felt, how difficult it was and how proud to be under par?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, my caddie is taller than me, so he saw it was plugged. I was like, how do you know it's plugged? And when I got up, I saw it. But I was really pleased to see it was plugged uphill. On the bottom it would have been a really tough shot. This one, you know, you will get it on the green but you've just got to get it somewhat close to the pin. Yeah, it looked probably harder than it probably is for a tour player, yeah. But I was extremely happy to make par.

But to get it on the green, I think most of us would do it.

Q. There's a lot of chatter, winning twice in the last three starts, you're going to Bethpage but outside the ropes. Is there an element that you've been able to find this form partly because of the Ryder Cup?

ALEX NOREN: Yeah, I don't know, the different mental aspects, I remember back in 2018, I wanted to perform well to kind of show that I could play a lot of matches in the Ryder Cup, and I got three. I think that was fair. You've got to just play really well all the time, and that's what the best players do.

I think we have a great team and I think it's the right 12 guys that are playing. I showed good form late, but it was the wrong time, and I didn't really show the form I needed to show when I started playing, and too many kind of bad tournaments in the middle of the season. Then way better the last six starts.

Q. Just thinking back to that period when you were injured, could you ever have imagined just how successful this period has been when you've come back?

ALEX NOREN: As a golfer, you have a lot of hope, and I've always strived for success. I'm extremely hungry to get better, and I was jealous of players that can hit shots better than me and more consistently. I tried to kind of learn from that.

So I want to be in this position, but then again, you have your doubts, you have your hopes and it's a whole mix of emotions, yeah.

Q. Have you got a celebration planned on the plane tonight?

ALEX NOREN: Probably a little bit of red wine or beer, and probably going to sleep some, too. But it will be a nice flight.

Q. This recognition over the last two days, and the next two days in the air, what are you going to be hoping to achieve and what's going to be your role involved in the team?

ALEX NOREN: I think my role is an extra set of eyes for Luke. He's doing the most part, and the other captains have done a lot of work. I think -- and everybody else involved in the Ryder Cup, knowing about a month and a half ago I was going to be a captain, and I asked Luke, what do you want out of me. Obviously I'm not going to coach or captain much.

"You're going to be an extra set of eyes over a few players and be of any service they need." You know, I've only played one time but I know it's different to play Ryder Cup than anything else. I'll do whatever they ask me to do. I'm really happy to be part of the team because I think Bethpage will be an incredible venue for the Ryder Cup.

Q. In the form you're in, are you available for money games the next couple days?

ALEX NOREN: I'm not allowed to play.

Q. Is that right?

ALEX NOREN: There's no reason for me to.

TOM CARLISLE: Alex, thank you so much.
