Q. This sport can beat you up sometimes. Initially, give us your thoughts coming off 18.
MANUEL ELVIRA: Devastating that I hit the wrong shot at the right time on the lay up and left myself the toughest shot in the fairway bunker, and wasn't able to pull it off.
Q. It's been incredible. Let's talk about your back nine because I feel like that's been when things started turning for you, you had the incredible birdie at 10, the one that you love, and then of course 17, the eagle. What did you think after you hit the second shot when it was blind to you and you saw it was nine feet away?
MANUEL ELVIRA: I saw it and the line was good and knew it was quite close. I saw it, made the putt. Felt amazing.
Q. How much were you looking at the leaderboard?
MANUEL ELVIRA: To be honest I tried to look a few times but I didn't see anything. Because all I could see was Filippo's name and my name. And I'm putting for birdie from nine feet, I'm like, show me the leaderboard and I couldn't see it until the ninth green.
Q. Your brother, Nacho, went out to see you three or four holes back. Were you aware of his presence?
MANUEL ELVIRA: I just saw him on 16 green. Obviously there was a lot of people. I could see them in the crowd, my girlfriend, my manager, my brother, and it was amazing to have their support.
Q. You'll reminisce about the 72nd hole a little bit, but you'll walk away from this tournament with an awful lot of points and an awful lot more fans. Once the dust settles, what do you think you'll take away from the week, because you've done something incredible.
MANUEL ELVIRA: I've played some of the best golf probably of my life. I was in contention and I wasn't really that nervous. Maybe coming off the 72nd hole but I managed to hit a good tee shot and unfortunately hit a bad second shot.
It's been a great week and I'm really glad for it.
Q. Were you ever nervous? You didn't look overwhelmed by the moment.
MANUEL ELVIRA: I was more nervous before the round. But you managed to breathe a little bit and just told myself, just enjoy, have fun. They can't take it away from you, playing on the last group on Sunday at Wentworth.
