Q. Congratulations on winning the Senior Open in 2021.
STEPHEN DODD: Amazing feeling at the moment.
Q. You looked like you were in control of your emotions all day. What was it really like out there?
STEPHEN DODD: I was in control of them. I just wasn't control the ball which is a big problem. It was a bit of a battle out there. But lucky I gave myself a few chances.
Q. You set yourself up yesterday with the 62. Going out with the lead, all the pressure; you said yesterday you'd only played one event in 18 months. You're not playing all the time against guys that play week-in, week-out. What kind of challenge was it?
STEPHEN DODD: Well, as I said, I didn't know what sort of game I was going to wake up to. Today wasn't a great one, so it was a challenge today, and I scrambled my way around because I hit a lot of bad shots today.
Q. Started the week uncertain what would happen through lack of play. Did you ever imagine you would be holding the trophy?
STEPHEN DODD: No, that was the last thing on my mind, really. I just wanted to come in and do myself justice, and hopefully I've done that.
